How you two meet

Stefan: Okay, so; new school?, check. New town?, check. New house?, check. New friends? not so much. It's not like I am a bad person, I'm actually really friendly and pretty down-to-earth when you get to know me, its just that making friends dosent come all that easily when a bit of social anxiety and nerdiness is thrown into the mix. I was running late to my first class, which honestly scared me to death. Great first impressions y/n, late on the first day. Wonderful. I jogged down the hall before I came to a stop infront of my class. My heart rate quickened as I awkwardly walked into the room, receiving stares from the entire class, and an intense glare from what looks like my teacher.

"Im Mr. Tanner, and you're late." he he growled under his breath.

"Sorry, I'm new." I almost whispered as I walked over to hand him the slip with my information on it. He snatched it from my hands and crumpled it up into his fist.

"Take a seat, and dont interrupt my class again." He said sternly. Without a word, I quickly took a seat at the only desk available, which happened to be near the centre of the room, fantastic. I put my things down and lowered my head down, trying to avert myself as much as possible from the public eye, in an attempt to push aside the humiliation I had just endured. I listened carefully as Mr. Tanner spoke of the Korean War.

"It was a devistation, blood-fueled battle that lasted from 1950 to 1952." He said knowingly. He was wrong. I looked around and nobody seemed to notice, they were all writing it down in their books. Except for a boy seated in the desk next to mine, who was chuckling quietly to himself. He must have caught on as well.

"Um sir?" I started quietly, raising my hand "I dont mean to be rude, but the war lasted until 53', not 52'" A wave of gasps consumed the rest of the class as I received a very menacing look from Mr. Tanner.

"Excuse me? I think I know what I'm talking about little girl" He scoffed.

"No, she's right." The boy next to me spoke up, smiling at Mr. Tanner as if he was a fool.

"Oh, alright then!" Mr. Tanner chuckled sarcastically "Someone look it up! Now!" His voice rang through the classroom, before someone from the otherside of the room spoke up, while looking down at their phone, "The Korean war lasted from 1950 to.." they paused, continuing to read, "1953." they announced. A look of utter failure washed over Mr. Tanner's face, and I couldnt stop myself from smiling a little. The room erupted into applause, making him look like a complete fool, which he obviously realized. "Alright thats enough, so, as I was saying. The Korean war-" He trailed off, changing the subject. I glanced over at the boy who defended me and found that he was already looking directly at me.

"Stefan." He smiled, reaching his hand out for me to shake, which I of course accepted.

"y/n" I replied, shaking his hand, smiling back at him.

"That was hilarious, I've waited for that moment for so long." He whispered, chuckling

"Yeah, thanks for sticking up for me" I replied, looking down, smiling.

"No problem" he smiled reassuringly. "Hey, so, um? Do you want to come sit with me at lunch?" He questioned.

"Sounds good, thank you." I replied with a smile, to which he returned.

Damon: I trunched into the bar and plonked myself down onto an empty stool, next to a raven haired man.
"Hi, how can I help you?" The bartender asked. A young boy, Blonde, probably still in school.
"Whiskey, thank you." I replied with a smile.
"No problems" he beamed back. I noticed the man next to me perk his head up, as if he was keeping an eye on me.
"Whiskey huh?" He quiestioned, taking a sip of his own. "I would have taken you for more of a martini type gal" he joked.
"Ah, well, you mustn't let looks fool you." I said with slight sarcasm, and a smile. He smirked down at his drink and chuckled under his breath, before looking up at me.
