Time really did fly.

Well, that's what it felt like at least. That, or it had crash landed and injured both of it's wings. There was no longer any concept of time. You could have been stuck there for days, maybe even months- either way, you'd stopped keeping track a long while ago.

Kai Parker was an interesting host to say the least. When you first found yourself in the prison world, he'd kept his distance. Not only was he unsure as to whether or not you could be trusted, but quite frankly, he was curious.

It had been so long since he'd seen, let alone spoken to another human being, that the only way he knew how to bond was via his boyish wit. It was enough to establish trust, but a connection seemed off the table at first.

You would spend every day together, just lounging around the Salvatore boarding house arguing, or on better days, laughing; recreating clichè dressing room montages in the mall to pass time.

"Ah, I feel just like Pretty Woman." He would quip, swinging the scarf over his shoulder as he pretended to bask in the moment.

"Oh Kai darling, you look Absolutely gorgeous! I think that's your colour." You joked, lifting your hands up to your heart to feign awe.

It seemed that all you knew of the heretic was his humour- a trait you admired fondly, especially in such conditions.

Those days spent arguing, however, were typically aroused by the mutual fear of never escaping- never going home.

"There has to be a way to get back home." You'd speak through gritted teeth, reopening your frustrated glare to focus on him.

"I told you we can't without my powers!" He roared, throwing his arms up in annoyance.

"Well how do we get them back then?! We can't be trapped here forever!" You reasoned angrily.

"If I knew I wouldn't be here!" He spat.

You would yell.

He would scream.

And you'd both end up storming off in opposite directions to your rooms. Well, that's the way it would usually go.
