//After Klaus turns you against your will, Elijah takes you under his wing and away from Nik where he teaches you to control your abilities, falling for you in the process//

You had been close friends with the Mikaelson's for what seemed like forever. Upon moving to Mystic Falls, and meeting the Salvatore's- having them introduce you into the world of the supernatural, it wasn't long before they also introduced you to the original family, of whom took quite a liking to you.

They took you under their wing in a sense, teaching you all you needed to know about what lurked in the dark and how to protect yourself from what goes bump in the night, which you greatly appreciated. They all adored you and held your safety and wellbeing to a high standard, which, coming from the Mikaelson's, meant a lot.

You're day had been an eventful one to say the least. But then again, near death experiences had become a part of your everyday routine since you had been introduced into the world of the supernatural. You had headed over to the Mikaelson household, knocking on the door to have it swung over by a heavily intoxicated Nik.

"Nik? Are you okay?" You asked curiously, and a little worried. It wasn't often that he got drunk, and it took a lot to get him to the state he was in.

"It's been a long day, love." He slurred as he turned on his heel and headed back inside, flopping himself down onto the couch as you closed the front door behind you and followed him in, a glass of scotch slung loosely in his grasp.

"Where are Elijah and Rebekah?" You asked absentmindedly, sitting yourself down on the couch opposite him.

"My dear sister is off chasing down her dreams of what could have been, pathetically trying to relive her stolen years as an adolescent. And I haven't seen Elijah since this morning." He replied inattentively, watching the remainder of his drink swirl around at the bottom of his glass. "You frightened me today." He added.

"I did?" You asked as he looked up at you.

"It's been a long time since I have had a human friend, and I constantly find myself in a state of worry when you are involved in all of- all of this." He confessed. "I don't want you getting hurt- or worse."

"Don't worry about me, Nik." You began, "I'm the safest a human being could possibly be. I mean, I have the original family by my side for god's sake." You chuckled. "I'll be fine." With a soft smile, you reassured him, but it still didn't seem be enough to put his mind to rest as his eyes flickered up to you and he put his glass down.

"There is a way you could be safer." He suggested, his eyes glossing over, holding an emotion you couldn't easily detect.

"Nik?" You asked, confused, a feeling of intense unease washing over your consciousness as his cryptic stare quickly turned to one of thirst- hunger. A muted, red haze washed over the white of his eyes, and dark, grey veins spouted from underneath his skin as he bit into his wrist, leaving a bloody wound. You flinched, your eyes widening in fear as he sped over to you and force fed you his blood, despite your screams and attempts to push him away.

"Klaus, please- please." You sputtered fearfully as he pulled his wrist away, lifting you to your feet.

"I'm sorry." He spoke regretfully, just as Elijah had burst through the door in a panic upon hearing your cries. But it was too late, Niklaus had all but effortlessly snapped your neck, leaving your body to fall to the floor in a heap- lifeless and cold.

Slightly backing away, in shock of his own actions, Niklaus looked at what he had done shakily as Elijah sped over in a fit of rage and grief, and pinned him to the wall.
