Working at the Grill, while as tedious as one may imagine, was actually where you spent some of the best moments of your life.
It was working your summer job there that you grew close to the Mystic Falls Gang, but more specifically, Matt.
You'd soon found yourself to have become best friends with him, although, that label didn't stop either of you from feeling more.
Now, it wasn't just the fact that you were two of the last humans in the supernatural-plagued town that drew you to him. It was his kindness-- his unflinching ability to stick by his friends. And maybe even the smile that took up his entire face and reflected in his cerulean eyes.
You laughed together, confided in each other, and ultimately; made one another happy. If you were to ask anyone, they'd tell you it was a match made in heaven.
But those moments now seemed like distant memories for the blue eyed boy, who stood in the black suit that had become far too familiar, with a feeling he'd much rather forget.
