Stefan: Makeup was something that was apart of you. It was apart of your everyday life. It made you feel confident and ready for the world. It made you feel beautiful. When anyone saw you without makeup, it meant more than one would think. You would have to be completely comfortable with the individual to put yourself in, what was to you, a very vulnerable state.
You and Stefan had been dating for a while now, almost a year. And it was embarrassing to say that throughout that time, he hadn't seen you without makeup on. You weren't worried that he would reject you once he saw your bare face, not at all. You were just scared. But you couldn't pinpoint the reason why.
You were staying at his house, for what was surprisingly the first time.
It was late, and you both decided that getting to sleep was the best option.
Standing in front of the bathroom mirror, in a pair of borrowed pyjamas that hung off your body from the obvious size difference between you two, you had an internal battle about the makeup still remaining perfectly intact on your face.
Hesitantly, you began to wipe it away, stopping when you heard a creak at the door. You turned to see Stefan leaning against the doorframe with a small grin growing on his face.
"ah, don't look at me!" You shrieked, hiding your face in the hand towel. He chuckled at your antics, moving closer.
"Please let me look at you." He smiled, tugging at the hand towel. Slowly, you let him take it but still keep your eyes plastered to the floor. He placed a hand underneath your chin, softly lifting your face to meet your gaze.
"Just as I thought," He paused, "perfect."Damon: Damon had stayed at your place. Before getting into bed the night before, you made sure to take off your makeup once you knew he was already huddled under the sheets, that way he wouldn't be too shocked by your drastic change in appearance. Waking up the next morning beside his sleeping figure, you managed to shimmy out of the bed and into the bathroom. Giving your face a wash, you tried to figure out what you were going to do about the makeup dilemma. You knew he would be cool about it, but it was kind of a big step for you. Makeup being your extra dose of confidence. You stood in front of the mirror, taking your hair out of the braid you had put it in the night before, giving your natural face a once over before deciding what to do.
"No way," You heard Damon gasp from behind you, seeing his sleepy frame gawking at you from the mirror. "You have freckles?!" He asked surprised, moving closer to inspect your natural face.
"Yes." You breathed shyly, pulling your hands up to cover your face.
"Oh no, no, no. You're not hiding that from me." He teased, pulling your hands away and staring at you lovingly.
"Okay, heres the deal. I'm not going to give you the lecture about not wearing makeup all together, because I know it makes you happy, but I really think it would be awesome if I could at least see these freckles everyday." He began, quite seriously about his proposal as he looked at your bare face.
"Beautiful." He smiled.Klaus: Waiting for Nik to arrive, you rushed around the house, quickly getting ready. A swift knock at the door pulled you away from your makeup table, which you hadn't yet touched. Running to the door, you opened it with your hand shielding your face, using them as a visor of sorts, much like one would do during sunny weather.
"Sorry! I'll be ready in just a minute, I need to put my face on." You spoke, rushing back up the stairs. Nik chuckled, closing the door behind him and rushing up the stairs to join you.
"y/n," He laughed, making his way to your door, just as you sat down, brush at the ready.
"Oh god, please don't look at me." You spoke as he walked in slowly.
"Please." You pleaded, your face buried in your arms as you hunched over the table.
"love, I'm bound to see you without makeup sooner or later." He smiled, kneeling down by the vanity.
You let out a sigh, he was right. Shyly, you lifted your head to look at him.
His face softened as he looked at you, and a genuine smile appeared on his lips, along with the small crinkles by his eyes, and his unmissable dimples.
"You, my dear, are absolutely breathtaking. With, and without makeup." He spoke, still gazing at your natural face, causing you to smile, "Please don't ever think otherwise."Elijah: A loud knock at the door pulled you away from your tv show binge. You had sat on the couch, your comfiest pyjama pants and singlet on, makeup free, and hair pulled into a messy bun atop your head. You carefully sat up from the couch and started toward the door, quickly looking through the window, you saw Elijah. You began to panic a little. You had both been dating for a while now, and there was no doubt in your mind that you were in love, but him seeing you in the state you were in scarred you a bit.
Not being able to leave him at the door any longer, you slowly opened it, staring at the ground bashfully as you greeted him.
"Hey L'ijah." You spoke softly, not looking directly at him out of embarrassment.
"y/n," He breathed, gazing at you. Blinking, his mouth hung open a little is disbelief, lifting your hand into his and placing a kiss on the back of it, making you giggle.
"I would say you're beautiful, but you are so much more than that." He spoke seriously, eyes still glued to you.
"Thanks L'ijah." You giggled, finally looking up at him.
"So much more." He repeated.Thank you for reading! Any Idea's for future preferences? Feel free to comment them below or inbox me :)
