Stefan: Three weeks after turning, and you had begun to get the hang of it, the thirst. Your strength and speed were another thing. You were walking to Stefan's place, it was night of course, you still hadn't gotten a daylight ring from Bonnie, but you weren't stressed. The night had always brought you peace, the moon glistening on your skin, the absolute tranquility of it all was breathtaking.
As you passed the alleyway next to The Grille, you heard a scuffling noise, and the clanging of metal. You cautiously moved closer toward the noise, soon realizing that it was some idiot kid giving Jeremy, Elena's little brother, trouble. He pushed Jeremy down, landing on a bunch of cardboard boxes.
"Hey!" You shouted angrily, grabbing the kids attention, he looked up, frightened for a split second, only to see you, then chuckle and turn back to Jer, who lay defenseless in a pile of broken cardboard. You sped over just as the boy pulled back his fist to hit Jeremy again, and with a quick shove, he had flown back, his head making a strong impact against the wall.
You sucked in a deep breath at the horrifying sound as his body slumped onto the ground. You held your breath, too frightened to move, to frightened to speak. You stood there. Paralyzed.
With small, shaky steps, you shuffled toward the boy, lifting your hand up uneasily to feel for a pulse. Nothing. Panicking, you quickly moved your ear to his chest. No heartbeat.
You sank back, sitting on the floor next to him, eyes watering as shaky breaths escaped your lips.
"Oh my god, wha- what have I done?" You mumbled to nobody in particular.
Suddenly, a pair of strong arms were pulling you up to your feet. Stefan. He held your face and looked into your teary eyes.
"It's okay, y/n." He said calmly. Removing his hands from your face, he pulled them around to your back, taking you in his arms, into a warm embrace. You fell into him, sobbing into his chest mumbling incoherently.
"I'm a monster." You cried into him.
"y/n," He begun, pulling you up to look at your tear stricken face. "You are not a monster. These things are going to happen, I cant help that, but I can help you through it. Trust me, its all going to be all right." He assured you.
"If it's any consolation," Jeremy spoke up, "You kind of just saved mylife, that kid was on another level of bad news."
"I love you y/n, and I will do everything in my power to help you through this. All of this." Stefan spoke softly, caressing your face.
Damon: You only had one day to feed until it was over. Until you died. Becoming a vampire certainly was not your ideal scenario, but it was one that you were being forced to live. For now.
You hated violence, brutality, you could never take a human life. So you had chosen to leave your own one behind to save that of the person you would have to kill to continue 'living', and the countless others that would inevitably follow after.
Damon, of course, did not like this idea. He wasn't supposed to find out about your intentions, but Caroline had accidentally let it slip.
You only had a couple of hours left, you sat on the couch, bags under your eyes, head throbbing, feeling completely and utterly weak, it would be over soon. Damon continued to pace the living room, ruffling his hands through his hair.
"I wont let you do this." He stated angrily.
"Im sorry Damon." You said weakly, his face sunk at the tone in your voice, eyebrows knitting into a sad frown.
"No, do not speak like that." He said through gritted teeth, moving closer toward you. Suddenly he stopped, turning around and speeding out of the house in a flash.
