Ororo is taking care of her flowers outside in the back garden. Y/N is helping her. Both carrying watering cans, though Y/N is carrying a smaller one.
"Be careful to not give them too much water." Ororo warns the child. "We don't want to drown the flowers."
"I know. Don't worry about it." Y/N reassures with a smile. "I'm always happy when I'm outside, but I wish I could visit the big city."
Ororo pets Y/N on the head with her one free hand. "I know Y/N, but one day you can leave your cage."
"When I'm all ready to control my powers, right?" Y/N asks. Ororo hums as responds. Both of them continue watering the flowers one by one. "I saw something yesterday in the news. Something about a group of people who hate mutants." The boy stops smiling.
Storm looks over to Y/N, she and the others now one day they needed to talk about the stigma against mutants. "There will be people who has a grudge on other people for questionable reasons. Some people are more skeptical about mutants. They more fear them because of mutants' gifts, whether it's because mutants can't control them, or use them for evil."
Y/N stay silence for a few seconds, processing the information. "Do all people hate mutants?"
Storm is a little taken back, even though Y/N question came out of innocents. "No, there are people who sees mutants as equals. Although there are people who are scared or hate of mutants, your father and the rest of us have a duty to prove them wrong and prove them that mutants can control their powers and are good people." She explains. "But sadly, there always be a bad apple in the bunch."
"Does that mean there are mutants who use their gift for evil?" Y/N asks.
Storm nods. "Yes, that's why you should be careful when you use your gift. Some mutants won't use their mutation because they don't need to, but there are also mutants to make the world better." She shows a kind smile to Y/N. "Please remember that Y/N."

Present day
It's currently weekend for the students. Y/N, Scott and Jean are doing their homework in the living room. Y/N and Scott are sitting on the couch while Jean is sitting on a chair. Y/N is a little distracted by the rain he sees out of the window, but quickly looks back at his homework when Jean asks a question.
"Do one of you know a seedless vascular plants?" She asks, looking up from her homework.
"Ferns." Scott replies, not looking away from his homework.
Jean smiles and look back at his homework. "Right, thanks!"
Y/N look at the man next to him. "You're pretty smart, y'know? You always seem to know every answer we ask." He looks over to Scott's work. "And you're working on a faster pace than us."
"I'm... just good at this stuff." Scott replies, though the first word he says with hesitation.
"I wish I'm as good as you." Y/N turns back at his homework. "At worst I'm alright with a subject, though there are subjects I'm just struggling to understand."
"That's just natural." Scott says with a smile. "Just be glad on the subjects you are good at."
Y/N smiles back. "You're right."
Charles wheels in the room. "Y/N, can I borrow you for a moment?"
Y/N hums. "Sure." He puts his homework next to him, on the couch. He stands up and walk out of the room with his father. "Is there something?"
