Ch 40. The Great Fire Of Genosha

1 year later...

Every member of the X-Men are in the base. Some waiting at the jet, others in the hallway and some in Cerebro with Charles. Scott worriedly awaits until Charles found Y/N's exact location, who recently got missing. Last time they saw him, he was taking a stroll around the park alone. Scott hopes nothing bad happened to him, but it likely will be. One thing is sure, Y/N's power haven't cause any ruckus of yet.

"I found him!" Charles speaks up. Scott, as well of Logan and Ororo looks at him. "He's at Genosha..." Genosha, once a land that enslaved mutants next to the main part of Africa and above Madagascar, who got overthrown by them, now ruled by their new leader, Erik Lehnsherr.

"Does that mean Magneto got him?" Ororo asks.

"I'm afraid so."

Y/N wake up in a metal cell. Slowly opening his eyes, he notices a bed and a toilet. Opposite of it are metal bars. Behind it, it's a hallway with even more prison cells. With hearing footsteps, he sees a shadow heading his way.

"I told you I get him." He recognizes the voice. In front of the jail, he sees Magneto and Pietro.

"Yes, days later." Magneto look disappointed again at his son.

Pietro glares at him. "Can you be less of a-"

Erik gives him a glare from the side of his eyes. "Do you even dare to finish that sentence?"

Pietro huffs. "Fine, I go." He speeds away. Now, Erik is with Y/N. With his powers, he opens the cell, walks in and closes it.

Y/N begins trying to sit up. "What's... what's happening...?" He let out some heavy breathing.

"You sound like something bad is about to happen." Erik offers a hand to help Y/N up, however he doesn't take it. The older man put his hand back. "I cut to the chase. I need your help. It's for the sake of mutant kind."

"You say that... but you keep risking human lives to do so." Y/N carefully put his hands on the ground to get himself stand up.

"I have my priorities." Erik looks at Y/N as he stands up. "You know that full well."

"Then you know full well that I'm going to say no." Y/N response.

Erik hum. "Before you choose, you need to know what's at stake. You know about the infamous senator?"

"How could I not?" Of course, he knows who he's talking about is. Robert Kelly, a horrible man, whose has a popular stand point against mutants.

"Well, he's currently constructing very dangerous weapons against mutants." Magneto clutches his fists. "They are called Sentinels. Robots that detects mutants and kill them without hesitation."

Something about that seem familiar to Y/N. Robots that fight mutants. Then remembered! About 10 years ago, robots attacked him, Logan, Ororo and Hank, were everybody except him got captured by some strange glue. "How long are being developed?"

"15 years."

"...I think I saw them, 10 years ago. They captured some of my family. All, except me." If these robots could hurt mutants, that means bad news.

"See? I told you they're dangerous. Before, they considered you target practice, but now they will see you as prey. When the weapons become legalized, millions of mutants will die." Magneto explains. "But there is a way to stop him. All we need to do is assassinate him and everybody that surround him."
