Ch 60. A Vote To Decide

"Excuse me, father." Magneto got his conversation interrupted by his daughter. "I have bad news."

"You can continue working."

"Yes sir."

The third person walks out of the throne room, leaving the two family members alone. Magneto turns his attention back at her. "Speak."

"It's about the Brotherhood. The plan failed and everyone except Pietro got captured."

"Are you serious!?" Magneto let out an annoyed groan. "I can't believe I expected anything out of him..."

Wanda decides to ignore his comment. "Pietro is requesting back-up to complete the mission, as well rescuing the group."

Magneto let out a tired hum. "Fine..."

The dining room in the castle is quiet large, with chandeliers hanging from the ceilings. Part of the X-Men are eating their breakfast, now with extreme luxury. Butlers and maids are serving them food, made by 5-star chefs.

Y/N walks in the dining room. He sees Gambit, Bobby, Kitty and Kurt eating their breakfast. The group are wearing their suits. Gambit and Kurt are on the edge of the long table, sitting while the other two are on the other side, eating together. For whatever reason, Y/N decides to sit by Gambit and Kurt.

"Mind if I join you?"

Gambit looks up to see Y/N. "Not at all kid."

"Still calling me kid, huh?" Y/N chuckles, still remembering that Gambit is just a year older then him. He sits beside him. A butler is there to ask for the food and after requesting, the butler walks away. "So, any reason you two sit away from Bobby and Kitty."

"Don't make him start." Kurt can't help but smirk a little. Y/N is curious why.

"Look at them." Gambit orders. Y/N looks back at Bobby and Kitty, seeing the two-enjoying talking together. Y/N thought there wasn't anything odd, until Bobby is feeding Kitty a piece of his breakfast, rather awkwardly.

"They're a couple?" Y/N instantly thought.

"Yes. The one that are way too mushy with each other." Gambit says with a somewhat grossed out tone. Y/N, however, think it's sweet. It's nice to know Bobby moved on from him and found another partner. Y/N hopes that they will be happy.

"Zays the one that keeps flirting vith his girlfriend." Kurt says semi joking.

Y/N looks back at Gambit with surprise. "You got a girlfriend too? Did everyone in the last 5 years got a partner?"

"No, just those two and me." Gambit reassures with a grin.

"Then, who's the girl?"

"Rogue."

"Rogue?" Y/N didn't expected those two would end up together. "I didn't know you had a strong bond with her."

"Well, it all started when you left. She was at a loss, and I was just there to talk with her. We started out as friends, but some years later, we became more." Gambit explains.

"Congratulations." Y/N says with a smile.

"You too with your fiancé." Gambit replies. "Vhen's the Vedding?"

"Well..." Y/N and Scott never talked about when. "I guess it would be the best when this is all over." Thinking about the future, it reminds him off getting rid of the Phoenix, which includes one important person. "When I was gone, did you get any information about Emma Frost?"
