Ch 31. A Unknown Force

Back at the danger room, the seven teens are currently training their abilities, agility and combat skills. Since Y/N wants to learn further his leadership skills, there are no caregivers at the danger room.

"Shadowcat, keep using your gift to protect yourself and others!"

"Yes sir!"

Kitty sprints towards Bobby, who's back is turned to an incoming hammer. Iceman is distracted with destroying machine guns that are on the wall. He soon notices Kitty sprinting to her. "Huh? What are you-?"

"Be careful!" Kitty sprint towards Bobby and jump on him as the hammer is about to hit him, which they phase through. When the hammer gets passed them, Kitty steps back. "You should be alert 24/7, Iceman."

"What are you? My mom?"

Y/N leave the two to bicker and focusses next on Scott, who's being overwhelmed by the amount of machine's attacking him. He then looks at the other side of the room to see Kurt and Rogue fighting a robot. "Rogue, take Nightcrawlers mutation and teleport to Cyclops. Then take his and join the fight."

"Will do!" Rogue removes her clove and touches Kurt for a second. Then, she teleports to Scott and take a second to touch his neck.

"Show me what you can do."

Rogue chuckles at Scott's comment. "I sure will."

Y/N looks satisfied as both unleashes their deadly lasers to the machines. However, his attention quickly gets back to his own, as a blade appears behind him. As it is about to slice him vertically, Y/N jumps up and lands on the thinly metallic arm. Although he has some physical strength, he isn't strong enough to destroy the metal machine. Luckily, a laser appears in his sight and destroy the arm.

Y/N look at where its origin comes from and see Scott smiling a little. Y/N smiles back for a second before moving on to the next situation. From the back of the room, he sees Jean using her telekinesis ability destroy robots, as Kurt is having her back and tries to destroy a robot with his flexibility and his sharp tail.

"Jean, use your telekinesis to destroy a robot, take control of its weapon and use it against the enemy! Nightcrawler, you distract the enemy and make sure Jean won't get attacked!"

Jean and Kurt did what Y/N ordered. The redhead begins to tear a robot apart and take its weapon, which is a lance. Meanwhile, Kurt is distracting two robots by jumping on them, then moving to the other one. One by one, Jean pierces through the two robots, one by one.

As the two finishes the two, Y/N notices that every enemy has been destroyed, making them finish this stage. "Good work everyone!" Y/N gestures everyone to come. After a second, everybody is standing in a circle.

"You all improved. Remember to play of each other's mutation and be creative about it. Moving on to the feedback..." Y/N looks from left to right, starting with Bobby and Kitty. "You two need to concentrate about the mission and less bickering with each other."

"It's her fault." Bobby blatantly responds without shame.

Kitty gasps. "It's not my fault you can't watch your back."

It's like talking to a wall. Y/N moves on with Kurt. "I really want to see more of your acrobatic skills, Kurt. You're the most mobile out all of us, and even more with your mutation."

"I will continue to work on it." Kurt smiles, appreciating the advice.

Then he talks to Rogue. "I'm glad you're more open about using other's mutation. I want you to think about new possible strategies. For example, think of our mutation and mash them together. It can be either for combat or support."
