Ch 56. The Ambush

The two newly engaged couple are walking down the large hill, going back to the cabin they're staying about 5 years. Holding each other's hands, they walk through the forest.

"You think Logan would be okay with this?"

"I'm sure he would." Y/N replies with a smile. "Although he still has some issues with you, I'm certain he knows you care about me."

"I suppose so." Scott smiles back.

"So, how was-" Y/N stops talking when he senses something. Via his powers, he can sense other's presence, which isn't an ability he had 5 years ago without actively using it. Sure, this ability is in a constant use, living with two other people and living in a forest filled with animals. However, this is something different, he senses another people, multiple, which raises some red flags. Without even putting a finger against his head, he checks out who it is, only to discover it's the worst case. It's SHIELD. Multiple agents, hiding among them in the bushes.

Scott can sense something is wrong when Y/N's hand begin to stiff. "What?"

"Nothing..." Y/N continues to walk. Since they aren't attacked right now, he guesses they want to jump on them. So might as well play along and act like nothing is wrong. He decides to continue talking while scanning the minds of the SHIELD agents. "I was wondering how it was back in your future."

"It was one of the best days of my life. I was really nervous, but everybody was there to support me and you." Scott continues to talk while Y/N is gathering info.

The SHIELD agents are highly trained and holding guns. Most of them are on the lower ranks, with some higher among the ranks. Apparently, there is one person among them that can prove to be dangerous. An Avenger, the assembled team that was announced four years ago. The person among them is none other than Natasha Romanoff, Black Widow. She's dangerous, but being a telepath, Y/N is certain he can defeat her. The mission includes capturing Y/N, Scott and Logan; however, they are allowed to kill them if it's necessary. The team is split up. Some agents are with them, others are at the cabin, and some are back up. In total, there are around 100 of them.

"-And I'm certain it's going to be amazing."

Y/N begins to think about the plan. He should definitely initiate the fight by making them asleep. Then, they should go to the cabin and save Logan. Then, they should run away again, but that is going to be hard since SHIELD is now on their trail. Y/N thinks that problem can be resolve later, since he doesn't have the time to think right now.

"Run."

Scott looks beside him, extremely confused. "Huh?"

Y/N quickly uses his mind to connect with the SHIELD agents' and order them to sleep. In a second, the two hears the sound of multiple people dropping down in the bushes and on the grass. Scott now knows what Y/N was talking about.

"Shit...!"

"We have to run! Logan may be in danger!" Without waiting for an answer, Y/N starts running towards the cabin, with Scott quickly following him.

Since the SHIELD agents are currently asleep, there wasn't any problem going over to the cabin. Still, Y/N is alert for any danger. However, he expects that the other squad will soon be aware about the sleeping agents and either will go and get Y/N and Scott, or attack Logan, or both.

Soon enough, Y/N spots the cabin in the distance. Then, suddenly, Y/N and Scott hear the sound of gun shots, which they know it comes from the cabin. Unless they have adamantium bullets, Logan is going to be safe, though still, they better hurry.
