Ch 9. Captured

The X-Men are in the meeting room. The room is in heavy tension because of the discussion they're having.

"I'm not bringing a kid with us." Logan argues.

"Y/N learned how to control his telepathic abilities." Beast says back. "We all know that we're struggling with just the three with us and he could give us support on the field Charles couldn't give us."

"That's all fine and all but did ya forgot Y/N is a fucking 14-year-old?" Logan responds with a face of disbelief.

Ororo chimes in. "Not saying Y/N should join the team, but he did learn how to fight in the danger room, right?"

"Yes, although he isn't as skilled as us, he's impressive considering his age." Beast answers. He looks at us boss. "You're quiet. What is your opinion on it?"

Charles thinks for the decision he's about to make. "We should discuss this with Y/N." Charles soon summons his son to the meeting room, who is puzzled why he is in the meeting room. "Y/N, there is something we need to discuss with you." Charles looks back at Beast, giving him a signal, he can talk.

"The X-Men have been struggling for a while. With just one person extra, we can function better as a team. Considering your skills and improvement in your mutation and the danger room, we considered letting you join if the mission isn't too dangerous." Beast explains.

"Of course, you're just a 14-year-old, so we wouldn't expect you to join." Logan adds.

"Well, do you want to join the team?" Ororo asks.

Y/N thinks about the choice, though he quickly decides what to do. "If it means keeping you all safe, I will do it." He smiles.

Logan gives a disapprove face, though the rest are smiling. "If that is your choice, then I'm happy we got a new X-Men." Charles announces.

Present day

The X-Men are once again in the meeting room. Everybody is sitting around the table as Charles gives the briefing of the mission, all of them wearing a X-Men suit.

"I detected trouble in the city. A mutant has gone out of control. Many civilians are in danger." Charles says.

Logan immediately stands up. "Give us the coordinates." Y/N, Ororo and Beast follow him.

The X-Men arrive at the city. The team sprint towards the plaza, where a mutant has his rampage. Civilians left the place and sirens could be heard in the distance. Logan is taking the charge while the rest of his teammate are behind him.

They stop about a few feet away from the rampaging mutants. The X-Men sees how the man uncontrollably uses his electricity, which splashes all around the place. The man is screaming out of pain and fear. Y/N looks worried. "Can you calm him down?" Storm asks Y/N.

"I can try." He responds. He puts his index finger and middle finger against his head. He can feel the fear and chaos inside the mind of the man. Y/N feels sorry for him and decide to quickly put an end of his misery through putting him to sleep. "Sleep."

As the electricity calms down, the X-Men sees the man closing his eyes and begin to sleep. "Good job Y/N." Beast compliments him. Beast walks over to the unconscious man, crouch down to look closer at him. "He's stable. However, we must bring him back to the mansion."
