Ch 16. The Last Remaining Tributes

Back at the institute, Charles is with worry waiting to hear anything from Beast and Storm. "Storm? Beast? Please respond." Through from the comm, he didn't hear anything back.

While that is currently is there, back at the main floor, the rest of the teenagers are hanging around the living room, sitting on couches or chairs. All of them watching the television, though Bobby and Kitty have a discussion what tv-serie they should watch.

"I'm not watching a girl serie!" Bobby tries to grab the remote from Kitty, who holds it for her live.

"Oh! And your anime is better!" Kitty argues.

"No, but that's why I love it. It freaking sucks!" Bobby argues back.

The other three look tiredly at the two arguing. "Can you two stops?" Rogue says tiredly. "Just pick one and stop complaining."

"You heard her Bobby." Kitty continue fighting.

Bobby scoffs. "And you didn't!?"

Jean rolls her eyes. "How long is this going take?"

Kurt ignores the argument and look around. "Doez anybody knows where Y/N and Scott iz?"

"I saw Scott going with Logan going on a mission or something." Rogue looks at Kurt. "I saw Y/N when we returned."

Kurt also remembers seeing Y/N last when they returned back from camp. He finds it odd that Y/N would miss the chance to hang out with them. "I'm going to look for Y/N." Kurt stands up from his chair and walk out of the room. He takes the stairs and walk towards Y/N's bedroom. Once he arrives at the room, he knocks on the door. "Y/N, you in zere?" Kurt doesn't hear a respond a knock again. "Y/N?" Within a few seconds, Kurt gives up. "We're can he-" Before he can finish the sentence, he feels a gust against him that knocks him over.

Now on his back, Kurt has a gut feeling he gets attacked and teleports away. He's back at the living room. The rest of the teens flinches when Kurt suddenly appears in front of them. "Kurt, what the hell!?" Rogue yells.

"I zink we're under attack!" Kurt distresses.

Everybody looks worried. "By who?!" Kitty asks.

"I don't know. I felt an unnatural gust against me." Kurt answers.

"Couldn't that be from Storm?" Jean reasons with Kurt's logic, although that failed when a bench gets thrown in the window towards them. Everybody let out a scream. Kurt quickly jumps up to dodge the bench while the rest are covering their faces and gets down. When Kurt lands down back on the table, he sees four mutants, Blob, Toad, Avalanche and a cynical looking man with blonde hair and pipes coming from a backpack like machine to his gloves.

That same man, Pyro, begins letting fire out of his pipes. "Let's burn this entire building down!"

Everybody stands up and run away. Now standing in the main room. Charles with a concerned face move in the room. "What is-!?" Suddenly he disappears and within a second somebody appears in his place, Pietro. The 5 young mutants look frightened and go stiff, not knowing what to do.

"I doubt any of you can win against us." Pietro smirks. He and his teammates surround the young mutants, who each lay eyes on one of their enemies. "Wait, change that. One of you probably win against Toad."

Toad look offended. "Not cool speedy!"

Pietro merely shrugs his shoulders. Before anybody could react, he uses his extreme speed to start the battle. He first attacks Jean and drag her into another room.
