Everybody is Y/N observing in the danger room, wanting to be sure he can join the X-Men. They don't expect Y/N is a perfect soldier, but they want to know he has the skills to survive a battle. What Charles and the rest notice is that Y/N is highly skilled with his mutation and makes great use of it. However, his stamina and physical strength is something he needs to work on, even if he's a 14-year-old.

"We just are going to be babysitting him, Chuck." Logan comments. "He isn't fit to be part of the X-Men."

"I disagree." Charles responds. "Y/N is advance, despite his age. His results in the danger room are proof of that. Just take him on a few missions and I imagine he can adjust quiet well."

"I'm starting to think you're just worried about him." Ororo teases with a smirk.

Logan let out a huff. "Well, I'm sorry I look out for the kid." He playfully says back. "Next time I just toss him towards our foes if ya want."

After some minutes, Y/N training ended. Those who's outside the danger room look down at Y/N who's breathing heavy. Beast looks at a clipboard, analyzing the info and the results. "Judging by this training session and previous ones, Y/N should be more than qualified to be a X-Men." He announces to his teammate.

Charles hums. He looks back at Logan. "I know you're worried, but I'm sure Y/N is going to be fine. How about if he joins the X-Men on some minor missions and see how it goes?"

Logan turns back at Charles, thinking it sounds reasonable. "Fine." He groans.

Present day

The new recruits are once again in their jumpsuits. They're currently in the danger room, waiting for their practice run. Meanwhile Charles and the rest of the X-Men are in the other room, above the danger room that looks down on them.

"Has anybody already thought of a superhero nickname?" Kitty asks.

"No, zhould we?" Kurt answers.

"Yes, it's all part of the appeal." Kitty says with excitement. "Since my name is Kitty, it only sounds fitting if my nickname is based on that."

"Like what, Cat?" Rogue jokingly responds.

Kitty scoffs. "No, I was thinking about Shadowcat."

Bobby snorts. "Really? 'Shadowcat'?"

"Yes!" She feels somewhat offended. "It sounds catchy and easy to remember. Do you have a better one?"

"Well, yes. From now on I'm Iceman!" Bobby says with proud.

Rogue and Kitty grins and laughs. "You really chose the most generic superhero name, huh?" Rogue comments.

"At least it's better than Shadowcat." Bobby responds.

"Hey!" Kitty yells back. "That's it. Guys, who has a better nickname, me or Bobby?"

"Definitely you." Rogue comments, which makes Kitty happy. She waits at everybody else answer, who stays quiet.

"How about you share your name Kurt?" Y/N quickly changes the subject, which Kitty and Bobby notices.

"Back in the circuz, I waz called Nightcrawler and now in the X-Men I want to be called Nightcrawler." Kurt explains with a smile. "How about you? You never mentioned yourz."
