Ch 25. Weapon X

The two arrive back at where SHIELD apprehended them. Now allowed to get inside of the base, Logan and Y/N walks in the base. Many SHIELD agents walk around the worn-out place. The lights barely functions, thus SHIELD provided lamps around. Y/N sees Logan again struggling with the demons inside of his head.

"Uncle?"

Logan looks back at Y/N. "I'm fine. Let's make it quick. I want to go home as fast as possible." He complains.

Walking through the place, the two mutants arrive in a large room Logan is familiar with. The room is divided into two rooms, one that observe and the other one that they put the ones that were being observed. There is a broken glass tube with devices connected with it. Logan stares at the tube, his breaths getting heavier and heavier.

Y/N moves in front of Logan. "Calm down. Take a deep breath." He forces Logan's attention on him. Logan follows Y/N actions and takes deep breaths. After a few seconds, Logan calmed down. "Are you feeling better?"

"Yes... thanks kid." Y/N smiles. Logan looks back at the tube. "I remember being in that thing. They put me in there, and afterwards, they put the adamantium in my body. It hurt like hell." Logan is having difficulty talking about this.

"Do you know who did this to you?" Y/N asks.

Logan shakes his head. "Not that I remembered. I remember trying to get out of the damn thing, trying to escape. Eventually when I got the adamantium, I get out my claws and get out to escape." He let out a sigh with closed eyes.

"I have been wondering about something, why exactly did they do this to you?" Y/N asks.

"My guess is because of my regeneration. Because of that, I manage to survive that whole procedure. But of how they knew about that, I have no answer." Logan let out a frown, frustrated he can't remember anything.

Y/N tries to think about a way to help Logan. Although he doesn't want Logan to get reminded with the pain of the past. An idea suddenly hits him. He normally doesn't do this, but if it means helping Logan, he wills. From the corner of his eyes, he looks at a SHIELD agent and begin reading his mind. Logan looks back at the teen, knowing full well he's doing, but only to be surprised why he's doing it. "I thought you never do that without permission."

"I don't give a damn about their permission right now." Y/N responds, slightly with spite. Logan is surprised by Y/N's brashness. He never saw Y/N being angry, so he's a little taken back of it.

Y/N continue reading different minds of different people. After scouring every mind in the building, Y/N is done with using his mutation. "We're done here. I tell you on the way back."

Logan let out a soft smile, somewhat happy that Y/N is willing to cross the line when he has to. "Thanks kid."

Logan and Y/N left the base and head back to the Blackbird. Y/N begin telling the knowledge he required from all the SHIELD agents inside the base.

"From what I got, SHIELD found the base a month or two ago. They instantly started investigating it and apparently the person who owned the base is a guy called William Stryker."

Logan hums, trying to remember the guy, but unfortunate he cannot. "And who is Stryker guy?"

"He's a covert operations specialist and military scientist. He's also against mutants, even though the point to make weapons of them. Stryker called his 'weapons' weapon and then whatever number they assign based on in Roman numbers." Y/N responds.
