The two students arrived in the city, currently in a diner, both sitting in a booth. The dinner is all dressed up to the holiday, with a warm, cozy atmosphere. Y/N looks outside from the window, seeing the streets covered with snow and people walking around.

"It's nice in here." Y/N looks back at his friend sitting opposite of him. "It's really cozy."

"I knew you were going to like it." Bobby happily replies. "I used to go to them ever since I was a kid with my family."

"Speaking of which... why didn't you go home?" Y/N asks.

"Well... ever since I discovered I may be a mutant, my relationship with my parents become rocky. I'm sure they love me, even if they discover the truth, but... it's not nice knowing you're parents dislike mutants while being one." Bobby explains.

"Do you plan ever telling them?"

"Yeah... but it feels like that time is never going to happen." Bobby frowns. For whatever reason, Y/N believes there is something more going on that he's not telling him. "Anyway, I don't want to unload my drama onto you. How are you doing?"

Before Y/N could respond, the waitress they previously ordered from arrive with a food plate, where on it two plates of food and two drinks.

"Here's your waffles and cola." The waitress puts a plate of waffle and a glass of cola to Y/N. Then, she turns over to Bobby and gives him his food. "And here's your pancakes and beer."

"Thank you." Bobby merely smiles to her as she begins to walk away. Afterwards, he looks back to Y/N. "Thanks for the help."

As they give out their orders, Bobby said he wanted a beer. The waitress, rightfully, got suspicious and asked for his ID. Bobby gestured with his eyes to his friend to help him out, which Y/N did by manipulating the waitress's mind and showing her Bobby's age as 21.

"You're welcome."

"Didn't expect you to help me out though."

"To be fair, I have other things to worry about then you are drinking beer." Y/N says with a sad and forced smile.

Bobby chuckles. "You know you can talk to me if you want, right?" He reassures.

Y/N hums quietly. "To be honest... I feel bad, but I think I gave it a place... but only a little. I accepted the situation as it is and know feeling down won't help anything, so like my father said, I believe things are going to be different."

"I think so too." Bobby agrees with him. "And I've been meaning to ask. What about Scott?"

Hearing his name, Y/N looks sadder. "I'm not sure yet... I'm aware enough that almost everybody turned against him... and I understand why. To be honest... I question my opinion on him." Bobby looks slightly shocked. "I believe he had the right intensions, but... if he just reached out and ask for help, the situation I'm in didn't exist and... Jean wouldn't have died..."

"I feel the same, and some other people think so too, but others won't forgive him."

"Logan..." Y/N mutters. "I know he's not trying to vent his hate of Scott, but he's probably thinking I should break up with Scott, and to be honest, maybe that's for the best..."

Bobby didn't expect Y/N to think that. "To be honest, whatever you're going to do with Scott is up to you. Don't let other's pressure you into making that choice."

"But that's the thing... I wasn't thinking what other's think. This is what I feel." Y/N sighs. "I'm... going to think about it... There is just so much to process. The Phoenix, Jean's death, my relationship... I need time to process all of them, and they won't do that when I do it all at once."
