Ch 39. The Good With The Bad

4 years later in another timeline...

Y/N has just woken up, and after a warm shower, wearing his new work clothes and a good breakfast, he's walking through the student invested building that is now the new mutant school, the Xavier Institute. It's been a crazy four years. Charles manages to recruit many new students, with all kinds of age ranges, and now it's official. Y/N is living in a school, instead of a nice and quiet mansion.

He walks pass students, who are all heading to their individual classes. Y/N wonders how many people his students will be. First, he's going to be a homeroom teacher to the 10th grade, the sophomores. He knows where his class his, however, he's struggling to get to it. Especially since this is a school full of mutants.

"Hey! You there! Don't play with fire!"

"I know you're there! No need to be invisible!"

"Don't smudge the carpet!"

"Why are you eating the plant!?"

As Y/N walks through the crowded hallway, he spotted Scott, leaning against the door frame. Students walks in by the minute. He's the homeroom teacher of the 7th grade. Y/N tries to force himself through the students to get to his boyfriend.

"Hey." Y/N pants. He stands at the other side of the door frame, making sure possible students can get through.

"Hey, are you doing okay?" Scott, despite smiling of Y/N's situation, is also worried that he gets any headaches.

"I'm fine. It's just..." Y/N looks at the hallway. "Chaotic. Never did I imagine when I was a child that the future would include more than 200 students attending here."

"Well, life is full of surprises." Scott chuckles. "For example, I will surprise you tonight."

"Scott, we're not flirting when we're working." Y/N sternly replies.

"C'mon, we're still 21. We may be teachers, but we're still young. Meaning we can still do something-"

Logan, who is just passing by, hears the conversation and slaps Scott's back head with a book. "Ow!"

"Stop flirting. Do your job, slim."

Y/N merely chuckles. Scott pretends to be offended. "Okay, so flirting isn't making you happy, but me suffering is?"

"Totally." Y/N jokes. The crowd begins to quiet down, enough for Y/N to walk properly through the school. "I think I'm going to be late if I don't leave now. We talk later."

Before leaving, Scott gives a peck on his boyfriend's lips. "Good luck."

7 months later...

This is the first excursion for the Xavier students, specifically the freshmen until the seniors. With the vast amount of students going, multiple teachers go with them. The group stays together, making no one is lost in the massive dinosaur museum.

Y/N and Scott are in the back of the group of students, holding hands while watching over the students.

"Let's hope there will be no incidents." Scott prays out loud. "I don't want our first excursion to be our last."

"Well, if things get worse, my father taught me a handy trick." Y/N responds.

"And that is?"

"Memory wipe, as well for controlling one's mutation." Y/N smiles proudly.
