Ch 63. A Threat To Mutantkind

It's almost time until they arrive Genosha. It should be a couple of hours until the arrive at the land. In total, they were on the sea 2 and a half week. During which, Scott did his duty as a fiancé and X-Men member. He made sure to check on Y/N every chance he got, who got a lot better after some rest. However, what Scott found surprising is the amount of time he spends with his new companion, Alex. It started out with advice and a little training, to checking his mutation by Hank to make some device, to now mostly training. Hank created some kind of device where Alex's energy can be transferred and be shoot.

Currently, Scott and Alex are on the deck by themselves. Alex is checking out the new device, which is incorporated with his suit.

"And how is this going to help me again?"

"It helps you aim better. Just try it out and adapt to it." Scott suggests.

"If you say so." Alex aims to the endless to see and begin charging his power. Then, with a red light, he shoots out a red beam. He is surprised by the result. "That felt way better than before. I can feel like I'm actually using my powers." Alex looks back at Scott with a proud smirk. "You're a great teacher."

"I've had some experience being one. Even still, I'm happy to help." Scott replies happily back.

"I'm going to train some more. Get a neck to it, y'know?"

Alex continues using his powers with excitement. Scott takes a couple of steps back, observing the blond how he's training. Behind him, he can hear footsteps coming towards them. He looks back to see Y/N.

"Hey."

"Hey." Y/N greets back. Then he looks back at Alex, remembering how Scott shared the news about how he's training him. Y/N is pretty happy with Scott's decision, thinking it would be good for him to interact with other people. "He sure has grown, thanks to you."

"All I did was giving advice and helping him."

"Which is good enough. C'mon, you can be proud for what you've done." Y/N tries to boost Scott's confidence.

"It was nothing. I just did it because I wanted to help." Like usual, Scott acts modest.

"Well, whatever you think, know that I'm proud of you." Y/N says with a generous smile. Afterwards, he gives Scott a kiss on the lips.

Scott can't help but smile, feeling somewhat flustered by the complements. "T-thanks..." He says with a nervous smile.

The ship finally arrived at the island. At the docks, the sailors, and thus the smugglers, got paid by the top people of Genosha. Meanwhile, the X-Men and the Brotherhood made sure to escort the freed prisoners out of the ship. When Y/N is escorting two people, he reunites with Kurt and Bobby.

"Hey. I hope we didn't made you wait so long." Y/N made sure the mutants are safe before focusing on his friends.

"Not at all. We just waited almost 3 weeks for you." Bobby jokingly responds. Y/N chuckles in respond.

Kurt is ready to share the news. "The jet is all safe and sound. When we arrived, Magneto wished to speak with us, and we reported that all went well. He also said he wanted to speak to you as soon as possible."

"Ah, good to know. Thank you for telling." Y/N is happy everything is going well.

"I'm surprised how welcoming Magneto is to be honest." Bobby shares his feeling. "I thought for sure he would treat us as trash when everyone was gone."
