Chapter 155

(Jade's P.O.V)
It's currently 10:50 at night and Joe and I have just been talking this entire time. I'm still in my others from earlier because I haven't had time to change since we've been talking so much.
"I'm going to change my clothes real quick." I said.
"Alright. Do you want one of my shirts or something?" Joe asked and I nodded.
He handed me a black shirt with a pocket on the front. I slid off my shorts and took off my crop top and bandeau. Joe just laid in his bed watching me, in a non creepy way. I slipped on a pair of yoga shorts and then I put on Joe's shirt. It wasn't too big on me but it wasn't too small either. It came a little bit passed my waist and was loose on me. I liked it.
"I'm getting pretty tired. Are you?" I nodded.
"I'm going to go brush my teeth and then get some sleep." Joe got up and stretched.
We both walked to the bathroom and brushed our teeth, then went back to his room. Joe took off his shirt and pants and changed into a pair of grey sweats. I sent a goodnight text in a group chat with everyone back home and they replied with a goodnight. Joe shut off the light and then we crawled into bed. We laid pretty far away from each other and I didn't like it.
"Jade, would it be absolutely wrong if I asked you come over here and cuddle with me right now?" Joe asked.
He's like a mind reader.
"Not at all." I said.
"Come over here then." Joe said.
We moved to the middle of the bed and cuddled. I laid my head on his chest, rested my hand on his stomach, and we intertwined our legs. Joe wrapped his arm around me.
"Goodnight gorgeous. Sleep well." Joe said.
"Goodnight Joseph." I said.
Joe kissed the top of my head and I smiled. I'm loving this right now.

I woke up around 10 am. I was still in Joe's arms and he was sound asleep. I wanted to get up but I didn't want to wake Joe. He looked so cute while sleeping. I hope that doesn't sound creepy.
The door opened quietly and Zoey stood in the doorway.
"We're going out for breakfast. If you want to come we're leaving now." Zoey whispered.
"I'm fine but thank you." I said.
"Alright. Have fun. Love you Jade." Zoey said.
"I will. Love you too Zoe." I smiled.
Zoey left the room and Joe stirred. His eyes fluttered open and he stretched.
"Good morning Joseph." I said.
"Good morning Jade." Joe smiled.
I climbed out of the bed and Joe got up.
"Everybody is going out for breakfast but I didn't feel like going." I said.
"I don't feel like going either." Joe said.
We changed our clothes and I wore light blue, jean shorts with a black muscle tank that had the MTV symbol on it in tye dye. Joe wore a black shirt with dark jeans and a hat like Harry styles wears.
Everybody was gone when we went downstairs. I sent a text in group chat to everybody back at home saying good morning and I love them. They all replied with good morning and love you too.
"What should we do?" Joe asked.
"We could go walk around and explore the shops." I suggested.
"That sounds fun. Let's go." Joe said.
I got my vans on and then we walked out to Joe's car. Joe rushed to the passenger side and opened the door for me and I thanked him. Joe texted Alfie and told him that we were going out. Joe kept the radio off on our drive so we could talk.
"So what type of shops do they have in town?" I asked.
"There's a lot. There's clothing stores, cafés, bakeries, and shops to get sweets at." Joe said.
"I love it here so far. The people here are so kind and the beaches are so stunning." I said.
"Indeed they are." Joe smiled.
We pulled into a parking lot and then got out of the car. We began to walk around town and check out the shops. We walked into a bakery first.
"We should see if we can find anything for everybody else." I said.
"Yes we should. I already know what they'll like." Joe said.
We bought some cookies and cupcakes for everybody, then left. Joe insisted on paying for it. After the bakery, we went into TopShop. Joe bought a few shirts and a pair of sunglasses. He tried on the clothes he bought in the fitting room and came out to show me.
"That looks really good on you Joe." I smiled.
"Thank you Jade." Joe smiled back.
Joe paid for his clothes and then we walked around some more. I was having fun so far. My phone began to ring so I answered it.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hey Jade!" Jc's voice came through my phone.
"Jc! I've missed you!" I said.
"I've missed you too. How are things down there?" Jc asked.
"Pretty good except Taylor is being his jealous self." I said.
"I heard. Kian told all of us so that if anything happened, we could be there to comfort you." Jc said.
"Thank you for being caring. I'm out with Joe at the moment so I'll have to call or text you later. I love you Jc. Tell the everybody I love them." I said.
"Alright. Have fun. I love you too and I will." Jc ended the call.
I slid my phone back into my pocket.
"Let's continue our journey shall we?" I smiled.
Joe smiled back and grabbed my hand. We linked our hands together and continued walking around. Joe's hands were a little shaky. Was he nervous?

Joe and I walked about for a good hour or two. I bought a few things like sunglasses and shirts but Joe paid for it since he insisted on doing so. Every time I searched for my card in my wallet, he'd quickly grab his and pay for it. I got smart with it though. I began keeping my card in my pocket so I could whip it out and pay but Joe stills managed to pay.
After that, we went back to his house. Everybody was there and by everybody I mean Zoey, Alfie, Taylor, Marcus, Dan and Phil, Louise, and of course Caspar since he's Joe's roommate. Joe and I took our bags up to his room and set them down. I set mine by my suitcase. Joe and I walked downstairs and I hugged everybody. I sat down at the dinner table with Zoey and began chatting with her after I hugged everybody.
"I was thinking that tomorrow I could take you shopping around Brighton." Zoey said.
"That would be awesome. Joe and I went shopping today but I didn't get to spend any of my money since he kept paying. He also opens doors for me and let's me go first." I smiled.
"Sounds like Joe." Zoey smiled.
"He's a real gentleman." I said.
"I heard the word gentleman, you talking about me?" Joe came up behind me and draped his arms over my shoulders.
"Yes, yes we are." Zoey said.
"We're discussing how you open doors for me, let me go first, and insist on paying for me all the time." I said.
"What can I say? I'm amazing." Joe said.
"Yes you are." I kissed his jawline.
"I ship it." Zoey whispered to Joe.
"Me too." Joe said back.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing." Zoey and Joe smiled.
Zoey mouthed something to Joe and they both smirked and evil smirk. The next thing I know, Joe is lifting me over his shoulder and carrying me to his room.
"Joe! Put me down!" I shouted.
Joe put me on his bed and then shut the door. He dove into the bed and laid on his back. I questioned him.
"What was the point of that?" I laughed.
"Shhhh. Just come cuddle with me." Joe smiled.
I laughed and crawled over to him. I laid on top of him and he stroked my hair. I wrapped my arms around his torso and laid my head on his chest. Joe began singing to me. His voice was like an angel.
"Baby look what you've done to me, baby you've done now. Baby I'll never leave if you keep holding me this way." Joe sang.

His voice was perfection. After he finished singing that song, he sung 18 by One Direction.
"I have loved you since we were 18. Long before we both thought the same thing. To be loved and to be in love. All I can do is say these arms were made for holding you. I wanna love like you made me feel when we were 18." Joe stopped singing after he finished that song.
"Joe, your voice is beautiful." I said.
"Thank you Jade. Yours is amazing too." Joe said.
"Jade, there's something I have to-" Joe's door bursted open and in walked Caspar.
"Hey-sorry. I didn't know I was interrupting something." Caspar apologized.
"You're fine. We're just laying here." I smiled.
Joe and I didn't move from our positions.
"I was just coming up to check on you guys." Caspar said.
"Caspar, we're not 13 year old children." Joe said.
"I know I know. Taylor wanted me to come check up on you guys." Caspar said.
"Tell Taylor I said that we're fine up here." I said.
"Alright. I will." Caspar said.
"Shut the door on your way out mate." Joe said and Caspar shut the door.
I sighed and snuggled my head into Joe's chest.
"Taylor is always so jealous all of the time and I hate it." I said.
"I wouldn't like it if my girl was hugging on other guys and ignoring me either." Joe said.
"That's the thing. I'm not is girl. He's asked me out on dates but he's never asked me to be his girlfriend. He got us promise rings and I actually have it on right now. It was a promise to never leave each other no matter what." I said.
"Maybe you should go down there and talk to him. Maybe we shouldn't be doing this." Joe said.
I got off of Joe and he stood up.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"You have a promise ring with him. I can't interfere with that." Joe paced back and fourth and ran his fingers through his hair.
"It was a promise to never leave even if me and him become just friends." I said.
"You should go try to get him back." Joe said.
My heart began to break. I seriously thought he was into me a little.
"What? I thought you were into me? I guess I was wrong." I said the last part in a whisper.
"Jade, I've been trying to tell you this whole trip that I'm into you. I kept getting interrupted over these past 3 days, but you and Taylor should be together." Joe said.
My heart broke even more.
"Okay. I'm sorry for trying." My voice cracked and I turned away from Joe to walk out of the room but Joe grabbed my arm to stop me.
Tears were threatening to spill out of my eyes any second.
"I'm sorry Jade. I didn't mean it. Please don't cry." Joe said.
"I'm fine. I just need to go for a walk alone." I said.
"I'm so sorry." Joe hugged me tightly.
I hugged him back and then pulled away and walked out. I walked downstairs.
"I'm going for a walk." I told Zoey.
Everybody else was busy talking to each other to notice me.
"Alright. Are you okay?" Zoey asked, concerned.
"Yeah. I just need to be alone." I smiled.
"Be careful. I'll talk to Joe about what happened." Zoey hugged me.
I walked out the door and began walking down the street. It's currently 3:14 pm. I have no idea where I'm going since I've never been here but I'll figure it out. I can't believe this just happened.
