Chapter 156

(Jade's P.O.V)
I sat down on a bench nearby. I was about 20 minutes away from the house. It's 3:45 pm. I don't know where I am but I don't care right now.
I can't believe I actually tried to go to someone else. I should've known that Joe didn't like me like that. Taylor probably doesn't even like me like he says he does. I see why though. I'm such a mess. I'm so fucked up. I don't know what to do.
The sky was really cloudy. I've been out for about a half hour now. With my luck, it began to rain. Hard. Great. Just great. I don't knew where I am and it's pouring rain. Wow. The rain wasn't exactly warm either.
I got up and began to walk the way I came. I doubt I'm going the right way but oh well. This trip was suppose to be fun but all that's happened was boy drama, just like back at home. Why can't things just go right for me for once. Why can't I realize that nobody likes me and they're only my friends because they feel bad for me. Why can't I except the fact that I'm a nobody and the world would be a better place without me. I'm so sick of this.
A black car began driving slowly behind me. It pulled up next to me and rolled down the window.
"Hey gorgeous. Get in the car. It's pouring rain and I'm pretty sure you're lost." Joe said.
"I'll get your seat all wet." I said.
"That's the least bit of my worries right now. My main worry is getting you out of the rain so you don't catch a cold." Joe said.
"Fine." I sighed and got into his car.
He turned on the heat so I could get warm and began apologizing.
"I'm sorry for what happened back at the house. I was just upset because you guys had a promise ring together and me and you were starting to mess around. It was wrong of me and I'm so sorry. I was being a dick and I'm super sorry-" I cut Joe off.
"Don't worry about it Joe. It's fine." I said.
"Whatever you say but I still feel bad." Joe said.
I kissed his cheek and he smiled.
"When you walked out, Taylor grew upset." Joe's smile faded.
"What did he do?" I asked.
"He pulled me aside and said that if the reason you left was because of me, he'd freak." Joe said.
"He's trying to be protective, but I don't even know anymore. I'm so tired of this." I said and leaned my head against the window.
"We'll be back at the house in a few minutes and then you can change, then we can just chill out on the couch with everybody and watch some movies." Joe said.
"That sounds like a great idea." I said.
Minutes later we arrived at the house. Joe and I got out and he held his jacket over our heads so we didn't get soaked with rain. Well, so he didn't get soaked and so I didn't get even more soaked. When I got into the house I took off my shoes.
"Jesus Jade. What did you do, go for a swim?" Louise asked and we all laughed.
"I didn't think it would rain. It looked no too cloudy out when I left." I said.
"This weather always changes." Alfie said.
Joe lead me upstairs to his room and shut the door.
"Don't worry about the water or anything. It dries so you can just throw your clothes on the floor and I'll take care of them." Joe said.
I took off my clothes and put them on the floor. I grabbed new undergarments from my bag and a pair of sweats and a muscle tank. Joe turned around, being the gentleman he is. I changed into my clothes and then brushed my hair. After that I sat on the edge of Joe's bed next to him.
"I still feel really bad." Joe said.
"I told you it was fine." I said.
"But it's not fine. I was being a complete dick for no reason. I really care about you Jade." Joe said.
"I really care about you too." I said.
"How about we go downstairs and watch movies now." Joe smiled.
We both got up and walked downstairs and sat on the end of the couch next to each other.
"Alright, movie time." Joe said.
"That sounds like fun. It's pouring rain so we can't do anything anyway." Zoey said.
"What movie should we watch?" I asked.
"How about She's The Man with Amanda Bynes." Alfie suggested.
"Sure. Put it in." Zoey said.
Alfie put in the movie and pressed play. Joe wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I laid my head on his shoulders. He kissed the top of my head and I could see Taylor getting madder by the second. I felt bad but hey, karma's a bitch.
The movie started and I snuggled against Joe even more. He pulled me closer to him and I could see Zoey smiling out of the corner of my eye. My phone buzzed and it was a text from her.
Z- I see you guys😏
J- He doesn't like me like so shush. And besides, he's your brother, wouldn't that be weird if we dated?
Z- You don't know that and he told me all what happened earlier. And nope. It wouldn't be weird because you guys are pretty cute😚
J- I'll be gone in about 5 days anyway. Long distance relationships never work😞
Z- Don't worry about the future right now Jade. Just live in the moment.
J- I'll try me best. Now pay attention to the film!😂
Z- Okay mum. I love yewww.
J- I love you toooo.
I clicked my phone off and Zoey and I smiled at each other.
"That was a nice convo there." Joe whispered in my ear with a smirk.
"Are you creeping on me now?" I raised my eyebrow.
"To be fair, you are sitting right next to me so it was kind of hard to avoid your phone." Joe said.
"Touché." I smiled.
We turned our attention back to the film.

During the film, Joe, Alfie and Taylor fell asleep. Zoey, Louise and I were the only ones awake. It's currently 5:32 pm.
"What should we do?" Zoey whispered.
"I don't know. They all fell asleep and Joe has a death grip on my waist." I giggled.
"He's making sure you don't get up and leave him." Louise smiled.
"You guys can go something together. I'm pretty comfortably here." I said.
"Alright, we can just go to the pet store and walked around town. We'll be back soon then." Zoey said.
"Have fun." I said.
"You too." Louise smiled.
The girls walked out the door and I laid my head back on Joe's chest. I could feel his thumb slowly stroking my hip.
"You awake Joe?" I asked.
Joe nodded his head.
"Are you fully awake?" I asked.
Joe slowly shook his head and I giggled. Joe pulled me even closer to him and I wrapped my arms around him. I planted a kiss on Joe's neck, then laid my head back on his chest.
"I'm so glad you came here Jade." Joe spoke softly.
"Me too. I missed you guys terribly." I said.
"I missed you too." Joe said.
"Shut up. Some people are trying to sleep." Alfie said with a smile, his eyes still shut.
I grabbed a pillow and chucked it at Alfie. We all laughed.
"Come on, let's go upstairs." Joe said.
Joe and I got up and he bent down, signaling me to get on his back. I hopped on his back and he carried me upstairs and set me down once we got in his room. Joe shut the door and then laid in his bed. I laid next to him and laid my head on him chest.
"I really did miss you." Joe said.
"I really did miss you too." I said.
I began tracing shapes into Joe's chest and he smiled slightly. Joe wrapped his hand around my waist.
My phone began to ring. I groaned and pulled it out of my back pocket and answered it.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hey Jay, it's Jc." Jc spoke.
"Hi Jc! I miss you." I said.
"I miss you too. How's Taylor?" Jc asked.
"He's still being stubborn." I rolled my eyes.
I talked to Jc and filled him in on everything that's happened since I got here. I told him about the creepy waiter and he laugh. After my little phone call with Jc, I hung up and went back to snuggling with Joe.
"Sorry about that. Everyone said they'd call me to make sure I was doing okay." I said.
"No worries. I'm glad they're being caring." Joe smiled.
A few minutes of silence went by. It's only 6 pm but I'm so tired. Laying here in bed makes me tried.
Joe was playing with my hair. and I snuggled my head into his chest. My head was right on Joe's heart and let me tell you, there's nothing more peaceful and satisfying than listening to someone's heartbeat. Especially someone you care deeply about.
"I can hear your heartbeat. It's calming." I said.
"It beats for you my love." Joe smiled.
"You're so sweet Joseph." I smiled.
"Thank you." Joe kissed my forehead.
"I'm getting tired." I yawned.
"Close your eyes and go to sleep. Just stay here and cuddle with me." Joe said.
"I don't have a problem with that." I said.
I lifted my head up and kissed Joe's nose, then laid my head back down and closed my eyes. I soon fell asleep listening to Joe's heartbeat.

I shot yo out of bed and screamed. Joe jumped up alarmed.
"Jade, what happened? Are you okay? Did you have a nightmare?" Joe asked.
I was breathing heavily but managed to speak.
"Night-mare." I breathed.
"How bad was it?" Joe asked.
"Bad." I said.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Joe asked and I nodded.
"I'll get you a water first." Joe said.
I checked the time when Joe left. It was midnight. Joe came back with my water and I gulped it down, then spoke.
"It was about that guy who tried to rape me. I sometimes have nightmares about it still. I'm so scared Joe." I said.
"He's gone now. You're with us and we'll keep you safe okay? Lay back down and I'll keep you safe." Joe said and I nodded.
We laid back down and Joe pulled me close to him. He kissed my forested and rubbed my back.
"You're not going anywhere. No one will hurt you." Joe said.
"Thank you." I whispered.
(Taylor's P.O.V)
I heard Jade's scream and shot out of bed. We decided to stay at Joe's another night since it was late. Anyway, I shot out of bed and ran upstairs to Joe's room. I stood outsider the door and could hear Joe comforting Jade. That should be me, not him. She's my girl, not his. I can't wait for this trip to be over because then she'll be away from Joe and back with me.
It's like Jade and I are on a roller coaster. One minute we're up and the next we're falling down and spinning all around. It's my own damn fault though for treating her so badly. I just hate seeing her with other guys. It really irritates me. I don't know what we're at now. I think she's fully down with me now, but stuff like this has happened before and she comes back to me. I don't know anymore.

Sorry that I haven't updated in a little bit. I was finishing this chapter. I'm going to try to make my chapters 2,000 or more words so that they're long. I'll keep updating whenever I can!
