Chapter 214

(Jade's P.O.V)

The first few minutes of our walk was silent. The only thing you could hear was the birds chirping and sticks and dirt crunching under our feet. Taylor spoke up after a few minutes.

"Are we okay now?" He asked.

"Yeah. I've let it go and I think you have too. I've moved on so its all okay." I said.

"That's the thing, you've moved on. I kind of haven't-"

"Taylor." I warned him.

"Jade, I still want to be with you and I'm sorry that this might be a bad time and I'm sorry that things might be awkward between us but I miss you." Taylor said.

I deeply sighed.

"We can't be together. I have Sammy now. He treats me right. He doesn't go off and find other girls to mess with, he doesn't cheat on me. And he asked me out instead of waiting months." I said.

"I'm sorry okay. I don't know what I was thinking. This time would be different." Taylor replied.

I stopped walking.

"And how would I know that Taylor? Our relationship wasn't healthy at all. I didn't have trust in you anymore. What's a relationship without trust? I'm with Sammy now. I hate to be selfish, but I deserve to be treated right after spending more than a year with you. If you really loved me then you wouldn't have done all that you did." I said.

Taylor was lost for words. He opened his mouth to speak but he didn't say anything.

"I'm so sorry Jade. I shouldn't have done what I did to you. I regret it completely." He quietly said.

His head hung low. I felt kind of bad for snapping at him the way I did.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his around my waist.

"I'm sorry." Taylor kept saying over and over again.

I placed two fingers under his chin and lifted his head up so we were looking into each other's eyes.

"Hey, it's okay. We've forgiven each other and we're okay now. I know you'll find someone who changes your world and makes it brighter, more then I ever did." I said.

"You're right. I'll try to move on. Thank you Jade." Taylor faintly smiled.

I smiled back and pulled away from him. We walked back to the cliff. On the way, we talked like we were best friends. We talked about our lives, future, interests, etc. It was really nice.

When we arrived back at the cliff, Sammy walked over to us and pecked my lips.

"Hey baby. Have a nice walk?" He asked and I nodded.

"I'll see you later Jade Elizabeth." Taylor hugged me and then walked off.

"Bye Tay." I replied.

Sammy glared at Taylor and he walked off.

"So what did he want?" Sammy asked.

"He just wanted to apologize for what he did. He also talked about how he misses me and how he wants me back. But I told him I was with you and that its about time I get treated right so that's why I'm not leaving you for him." I replied.

"You're mine and only mine. Sorry to sound possessive, but I don't share. Everyone knows that." Sammy growled in my ear.

"I know you don't share. You never have and never will." I said.
