Chapter 136

(Jade's P.O.V)
I woke up and Jack was holding me. I looked up and he was already awake.
"I'll go call Taylor." Jack sighed.
He got up and I grabbed his hand. He stopped and turned around. He looked upset and hurt. Maybe he does have strong feelings for me.
"Jack, what's wrong." I asked.
"Nothing. I'm going to go call Taylor." Jack pulled his hand away.
"If this is about Taylor you can tell me." I said and he sighed.
"I just, I actually felt like I may have had a chance with you but your Taylor's and I know he loves you and you love him. You guys were meant to be together and everyone sees that so I want you to be with him." Jack said.
I got up and hugged him.
"Yes I still love Taylor and want to be with him but I also have feelings for you. You've grown on me and I like you. Things are difficult right now and I don't know who I want to be with. You saved me last night from that guy and I'm so thankful for that. If it want for you and Matt then I would've gotten raped. You saved me Jack." I looked him in the eyes.
"Something came over me when I saw him last night on you. I-I wanted to kill him." Jack spoke.
I kissed his lips and we stayed for a few seconds. It was still scary because all I kept thinking about was that guy but I thought of Jack's lips and not that guys. Jack hugged me back took a deep breath. I'm still scared about what happened last night but I'm okay with Jack and Matt because they saved me.
"I'm still going to call Taylor anyway. He needs to know what happened." Jack said and I nodded.
"Will you tell him?" I asked.
"Of course I will." Jack smiled slightly.
I kissed his cheek and walked downstairs. Jack called Taylor and invited him over. Everyone was downstairs and rushed to me and hugged me. I flinched and they backed off.
"We're sorry. We forgot you'd be jumpy." Johnson said.
"It's okay. Im just still hurting from the hits." I said.
A little bit later Taylor showed up and him and Jack went up to my rook to talk.
"Is he telling Taylor?" Jc asked.
"Yeah. I hope he doesn't freak." I sighed.
A few minutes later we heard a yell.
"Why didn't anyone call me last night?!" We knew it was Taylor.
"Yep. He's freaking out." I sighed.
"It'll be okay." Kian hugged me.
"I should go check on them." I said as Taylor yelled again.
"Be careful. Taylor's upset right now." Sam said.
(Jack's P.O.V)
Taylor was yelling at me for not calling him last night and I was getting aggravated.
"Shut the hell up Taylor! There was a lot of people here last night and she was scared out of her mind last night!" I yelled.
"I would've liked to know last night so I could've rushed over here to comfort her! I still love you you know!" Taylor yelled back.
"Well you told her to go away and find someone else! I told you that someone else might steal her away." I said.
Taylor shoved me and I stumbled backwards a little but didn't fall. I shoved him back and we ended up getting into a fist fight which was no surprise. We heard a small voice and stopped.
(Jade's P.O.V)
walked upstairs and opened the door only to see the boys fighting. No surprise.
"Both of you knock it off right now." I sternly said.
They turned around and Taylor hugged me.
"I'm so sorry for what happened Jade. Im sorry I wasn't here to stop him." Taylor said.
"Give me a break." Jack scoffed.
"She was mine first so fuck off Gilinsky." Taylor said back.
"She was never yours! You never asked her to be yours at all! That stupid promise ring shouldn't even be on your guys' fingers! Promise rings are for couples and you guys aren't one!" Jack yelled.
Ouch. That kind of hurt.
"Promise rings are also for people who are in love and that's what we are!" Taylor yelled.
All this yelling caused me to get a head ache. I get that Taylor and I love each other, but Jack and I have never dated before and maybe I should try someone new. What am I saying? I love Taylor. We've been in love for a while. We've also had many fights. I just don't know anything anymore.
"Shut up Gilinsky!" I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw Taylor jump at Jack.
They started fighting again and I was sick of it. I screamed as loud as I could and they jumped and stopped what they were doing.
"Now that I have your attention, both of you need to quit. Violence solves nothing." I said.
"We're sorry." They said at the same time.
"Now, I like you both okay? Taylor and I have history together and a promise ring which we committed to. Jack and I have never dated before and it might be good to date someone else, but I'm still in love with Taylor. So, until this is cleared up, I don't know who I want." I spoke kindly.
"I get it." Taylor said.
"We've gone through lots of shit together. It was mainly me fucking up and I'm sorry. That's in the past and it hasn't happened in a while." Taylor said.
"But you told be to go away." I said.
"I'll give you guys a minute." Jack said.
He kissed my cheek, then left.
"I know I'm confusing sometimes but I do love you. You mean a lot to me and that's why I tried to let you go. I don't want to hurt you anymore." Taylor said.
"Taylor, letting me go is hurting worse." I said.
"I'm so sorry. Now that I found out you nearly got raped I hate it. No one has ever touched you like that but me and the thought of his hands all of you makes my head spin. I want to be the only one touching you." Taylor said.
"There wasn't anything you could've done to prevent it. Everyone left so I was alone." I said.
Taylor hugged me tightly and kissed my head.
"I'm sorry. I don't know if I should let you go yet or not. I still love you and I'll always love you." Taylor said.
"I'll always love you too." A few years escaped eyes.
"Don't cry beautiful. I hate seeing you cry." I began sobbing into Taylor's chest.
"I d-don't want to let you g-go. We made a promise." I sobbed.
"I'm so sorry baby. This is hard on me too. Believe me." Taylor's voice cracked.
He really does care about me.
"I'm sorry." Taylor whispered.
He broke down right there. Tears fell from his eyes as well as mine. We both were crying with each other.
"Y-you went through that last night. I-if I hadn't let you go I-I would've been here and you w-wouldn't have gone out." Taylor cried.
I squeezed Taylor tighter and he kissed my head again.
"What do we do?" I asked.
I wiped my tears and Taylor's.
"I don't know. I can let you and Jack be with each other for a bit and talk and stuff. I love you." Taylor said.
"I love you too." Tears slowly rolled down my cheeks.
Taylor cupped my face and brought his lips to mine. We kissed like our lives depended on it. It was a gentle but sweet kiss. It felt right. We pulled away a few minutes later.
"I can't let you go. I need you. Waking up next to you everyday is what I live for. I can see us being together forever. I can't let you go like this. Not without a fight. I promised to love you forever and that's what I'm doing. I can't let you be alone. I promised to protect you and I'm not breaking that promise. But, I can keep a promise without being with you. Things are so confusing right now. We need each other and that's understandable but I hurt you. Maybe tomorrow things will be different but for today, go kiss Jack. Go cuddle Jack. He really likes you." Taylor said.
All I could do was nod.
"I love you Jade Elizabeth." Tears slowly rolled down his cheeks.
"I love you too Tay." tears rolled down my face as well.
We kissed once more, then he left my room. Once he was gone I broke down. I climbed into bed and clung onto once of the stuffed animals Taylor had gotten me. I held it close to my chest as I cried. I just let everything out. I couldn't hold it in any longer. About 20 minutes later my door opened.
"Babe girl." Someone sighed.
The person shut my door and climbed into bed with me. He pulled me onto his chest. I recognized this scent. It was Matt.
"I know it hurts baby girl. Everything's going to be alright I promise. Whether you date a guy or not, it'll be okay. We're all here for you and we love you." Matt kissed my forehead.
"It-hurts." I managed to say.
"I know baby. It hurts seeing you like this." Matt said.
Matt sniffled. He was crying too. The boys don't like seeing me sad or cry.
"Stop crying baby. You're going to make me cry even more." Matt said.
We sat up and he wiped my tears.
"Don't worry about Taylor. He's mixed up right now about things. Just give him some time." Matt said.
I nodded and looked at the ring on my finger.
"What are you going to do about it?" Matt pointed to the ring.
I sighed, then slowly took it off. It hurt on the inside to take it off. A few tears escaped my eyes but Matt wiped them away.
"Now, let's go downstairs. Everyones worried about you." Matt grabbed my hand and we walked downstairs together.
Everyone rushed to me and swallowed me in hugs. We all sat down and I sat in between Matt and Jack G. I put my legs over Matt's lap and laid my head on Jack's lap. Matt rested his hands on my legs and Jack played with my hair.
"We need to do something fun." Jc said.
"We haven't gone swimming in a while so we should go to the beach." Nash said.
"Yeah. Let's go. Do you want to come Jade?" Kian asked.
"No thanks. I'll stay here." I said.
"I'll stay with her." Jack said.
"Okay. Be safe." Kian kissed my cheek.
All of the boys kissed my cheek and hugged me except Taylor. He was the first one to walk out. He looked pretty upset. Andrea and Acacia hugged me as well, then everyone left. Once everyone left Jack spoke up.
"Why didn't you want to go? You love the beach." He asked.
I lifted up my shirt in response. He gasped when he saw all the bruises and cuts.
"I only own bikinis and I don't want anyone to see these. People will think you guys did this or think I'm crazy." My voice cracked.
Jack pulled me into a hug and tears spilled down my face. The memory is still fresh in my brain.
"Shhh. It's okay beautiful. We're all here for you and we won't let anyone hurt you. It's our job to protect you. We won't let anyone harm you. Especially me, Taylor, Kian, Sam, and Matt. We'll do anything to keep you safe. Taylor is still going to protect you no matter what. He still loves you. Sam is your brother and Matt and Kian are like brothers. All of us love you. No one will hurt you anymore." Jack said.
I squeezed him tightly and tried to calm my sobs.
"You know, Shawn talks about you a lot. He compliments you a lot and says that he loves it when you ask him to sing for you so you can sleep. He has a crush on you but he says you're like a little sister to him." I smiled.
"Really?" I looked up.
"Mhmm. Shawn really wants to hang out with you more." Jack said.
He wiped my tears and smiled.
"How about we lay in bed and watch movies on Netflix?" Jack suggested.
"Okay." I smiled slightly.
Jack and I walked up to my room and I changed into a pair of sweats. Jack threw off his shirt and handed it to me. I slipped off the shirt I was wearing and Jack looked surprised. He quickly grabbed my laptop and opened Netflix to distract himself. I smirked and put his shirt over me. I laid down next to him and we scrolled through movies. We decided on The Maze Runner since I love Dylan O' Brien. He's amazing and gorgeous. (Idk if they have the maze runner on there yet because I don't have Netflix so sorry)
Jack pressed play and I laid my head on his chest. He rubbed his hand up and down my arm. He leaned his head against mine. We intertwined our legs and I rested my hand on his bare chest. I was liking this moment a lot. I just wish it were Taylor and I. I do lol Jack, but it's going to be so tough trying to get over Taylor. Taylor and I might try things again once he's ready, but for now I need to slow down.
About 15 minutes into the movie I yawned and closed my eyes.
"Getting tired are we?" Jack smiled.
"Mhmm." I spoke.
Jack shut off my laptop and set it on my floor. I nuzzled my head into Jack's chest and he wrapped his arm around me tighter. It's only about 2 pm but I'm still really tired.
"Goodnight beautiful." Jack said.
I planted a kiss on his chest and laid my head back down.

Hey! Don't get mad if you want her and Taylor to be together. There might be a few flips between Jade and Taylor and Jade and Gilinsky but hey, it's a confusing time at that age for Jade. Lol.
