Chapter 198

(Jade's P.O.V)
I woke up and Sammy was clinging on to me. I gently shook him awake and he opened his eyes.
"I need to get up baby. We can lay in bed for the rest of the day cause I don't feel like going out." I said.
Sammy let me go and I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, then went back to my room. Sammy got up and we walked downstairs together. When we got there, Colt was sitting on the couch.
"Colt!" I squealed and ran to him.
We hugged tightly for a few seconds and then let go. He's going to be part of the group soon. I can feel it.
"They invited me over so I obviously had to agree. I wanted to come check up on you." Colt said.
"Thank you so much Colt. It really means a lot. I don't think I'll he doing much today cause I just need to recover." I said.
"That's understandable." Colt smiled a little.
Colt sat back down and then I hugged Matt, then Kian, then my brother Sam, and also the Jacks and everyone else. When I hugged Gilinsky, he squeezed and and buried his head into my neck.
"I'm sorry." He whispered so only I could hear.
"Don't be. You didn't do anything."
I replied.
After I hugged everyone, I grabbed a bottle of water and Sammy and I walked back upstairs. We climbed into my bed and he turned on the show Hoarders on Netflix since he knows I love to watch it. I cuddled up with him and sighed.
"What's wrong with my baby girl?" Sammy ask.
"Just thinking about last night." I said.
"Hey." Sammy lifted up my chin with his finger. "Don't worry about last night. It's a new day and I got you now. We're all protecting you even more now. You're not leaving my sight or anyone else's for a while. Now we have a new member and I know he'll be just as protective." Sammy reassured me.
"What did I do to deserve you?" I stared in his eyes.
"I've been wanting you since we first met. You're all I ever wanted." Sammy whispered.
I crashed my lips onto his and pressed my hand to his cheek and tangled the other one in his hair. This was perfect. The feelings of Ryan kissing me last night was pushed away and replaced by Sammy's lips. Sammy can cheer my up at any time. No matter what bad mood I'm in, he can always cheer me up.
I pulled and and snuggled my head into his neck. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I smiled.
"Let's go back downstairs. I want to hang out with everyone today."
I said and we got up.
I shut off my tv and Sammy told me to get on his back so I did. We walked downstairs and Kian and Jc were versing the Jacks in Mario Cart on the Xbox. Sammy and I sat down on the couch but I sat on his lap.
"Hi Tay." I waved to Taylor.
"Hey Jade Elizabeth. How are you feeling?" He asked.
"I'm good now. Thank you." I smiled and he returned it.
"FUCK! I ALWAYS WIN!" Kian screamed.
Him and Jc lost and in case you haven't noticed, Kian is really competitive. I laughed at the 4 boys who acted like children. Kian and Jc pouted while the Jacks bragged.
"Now now children, we mustn't fight." I scolded the boys.
We all laughed and the boys put away the game.
"I'm going to get some water. Want anything?" I asked Sammy and he shook his head.
As I went to get up, Sammy grabbed my waist and pulled me back onto his lap. He laid his head on my back and I giggled.
"No. You can't leave me." Sammy said like a little kid.
"But Saammyyy. Pwease." I whined.
"Fine." Sammy let me up and crossed his arms and pouted.
I laughed and pecked his lips. I got my water and went back out to Sammy. I sat in between his legs on the couch and leaned against him. He stretched his arms out in front of me and intertwined our fingers together.
"It amazes me how in love you two are." Sam said.
"Same with you and Acacia." I smiled at my brother.
"This girl is my world and I don't have a problem with letting everyone know that." Sammy said and he laid his head on my back.
He planted a kiss on my back and I got butterflies in my stomach.
"Why don't we go to Dom's house?" Kian suggested.
"That sounds fun. Let's go." I said.
We all got up and went to our cars. Colt rode with Kian and Jc though. Sammy and I climbed into my car and he began driving. Dom's place is about 20-30 minutes away from mine.
Sammy placed his hand on my thigh and he squeezed it slightly.
"I love you." I said.
"I love you too gorgeous." Sammy smiled.
"You should play some Twenty One Pilots." I said and Sammy did.
He plugged his phone into the aux cord and played Ride by Twenty One Pilots. We instantly began singing along to it and I smiled. This is just like the old days. We'd go for a drive, didn't matter where, and we'd listen to Twenty One Pilots. It really made me feel good; having my best friend there with me.
We arrived at Dom's house and walked inside. Everyone was sitting on the couch talking.
"Hey Dom." I said as he stood up and walked over to me.
"Hey baby sis." Dom hugged me and then him and Sammy did.
Sammy and I sat down on the couch, well, I sat on his lap. I always end up sitting on Sammy's lap. He always pulls me on to his lap but hey, I'm not complaining. I like sitting on his lap. I laid my head on his shoulder and he intertwined out hands together.
"So what's the plan for today?" Matt asked.
"Hell if I know. I can't think of anything to even do." Kian replied.
"There's many things to do in California. How about we go walking around?" Dom suggested.
"But we always do that. Let's do something we haven't done in a while." Sam said.
Kian's phone rang and he answered it.
"Hello?" He said.
"Yeah. Sure we can be there. It's at 7? Okay. That's fine. Bye." Kian hung the phone up.
"We have an event to go to tomorrow at 7. It's at the arena." Kian said and we nodded.
That's some random.
"I forgot to ask, who's this?" Dom pointed to Colt.
"I'm Colt. I met Jade at a Halloween party last night." Colt said.
"And you guys just randomly became friends right away?" Dom asked.
He's pretty protective and doesn't like me just friending random people right away.
"He saved me Dom." I replied.
"Oh. I'm sorry Colt. I didn't mean to be rude." Dom apologized.
"It's all good. I had a younger sister at one point too so I know how it feels to be protective." Colt replied.
"Had?" Matt asked.
"Yeah. Her name was Olivia but everyone called her Livi or Liv. She moved with my mom to Nevada. She was only 11 when she moved so she'd be 14 right now. She's 5 years younger than me. My parents got a divorce so I had to live with my dad and my mom took Olivia. My dad was an ass so I moved into my own place here in L.A when I was 18. He lives a few hours away but we never talk anymore. I don't talk to any of my family members really." Colt said.
"I'm sorry about all of that Colt. My parents passed away when Sam and I were young so we had to live with our grandma but we moved into our own place with the O2L guys when Sam got older. We don't talk to any of our family either." I replied.
"I'm sorry Jade. That must've been terrible." Colt said.
"It's all good. Sam and I are doing better now." I replied.
"What about Dom? Where was he?" Colt asked.
"He lived with our aunt. We got separated from him when our parents passed." I said.
"Damn. I shouldn't complain about my problems with my family cause your guys' was worse." Colt said.
"No, it's okay. Saying that you can't be upset or complain about something cause someone had it worse is like saying you can't be happy cause someone has it better." I replied and Colt smiled.
"Thanks Jade." He smiled.
"I can tell that Colt's going to fit in just fine. Our group that we have is kind of a group of people who have been hurt in the past or is still broken slightly. And we're just really caring and amazing." Kian said.
"True that." Sam replied.
"Welcome to the group Colt." Connor smiled.
This is a great start to a new friendship.
(Colt's P.O.V)
"Welcome to the group Colt." Connor said. I think that's his name.
I can't believe I actually have friends now. My whole life I grew up with no one. I was really close to my mom and my sister. My dad was abusive and that's part of the reason why my parents got a divorce. The judge said I had to live with my dad though. My mom told the judge that my dad was abusive but my dad said he had stopped abusing us a while ago. I still don't know why The judge made me live with my dad. My dad really hurt her when she filed for a divorce. Most nights I held Olivia close to me in my room with the door locked. My mom made us go up there whenever things got bad. My dad was a drunk and he was just downright a horrible person. I'll never forget that one night. I was 14 at the time and Olivia was 9.
*flashback*
"I can't believe that you were out having a dinner with him!" My dad screamed at my mom.
"Relax George! It was just a dinner with my coworker! He helped me out with some work so I treated him to a dinner!" My mom yelled back.
"You're such a whore!" My dad screamed as he slapped my mother.
She held her cheek as tears brimmed her eyes.
"Kids, go upstairs." My mom calmly said.
"No." I sternly said.
"Colt, this is not a discussion. Go upstairs and take Liv with you." My mom said.
"You're whore of a mother needs to learn her lesson!" My father yelled at me as he hit my mom again.
"She's not a fucking whore you drunk! I hate you! I wish you were dead! Don't ever hit my damn mother again!" I screamed.
"Shut the fuck up! You know nothing! You're just a kid! You don't ever talk to me like that again!" My dad screamed as he went to throw a punch at me but I ran out of the way.
I grabbed a vase sitting on the kitchen table and threw it as hard as I could at his head. He stumbled back and held his head, there was blood dripping down his face. I grabbed my moms car keys and my sister and my mom and ran out the door with them and into the car. I had my driving permit so I was able to drive.
I drove out of the driveway and to my Aunt
Helen's house. My mom was crying and so way Olivia. When I pulled up to my Aunt Helen's house we went inside and I told her everything that had happened and everything that has been going on. She got divorce papers for my mom the next day and we went back to the house so my mom could hand the papers to my dad and he beat her again.
My childhood was really easy. It still is difficult.
