The Way Back

I jump scared myself thinking I posted this chapter when it was hardly even finished! Thankfully I was just tripping and I was looking at a totally different chapter, haha!

"Truly thank you." (y/n) thanked Ronin, who handed him his naginata. (y/n) was glad to fight with his own weapon once more. The man nodded as if saying 'don't mention it'.

"Yeah, thank you all, I don't know how we'll ever be able to repay you." Kai said as Skylor gave the fire ninja a small smile.

"Let's just say you owe me one."

"Or a few thousand, if we're talking denomination of currency." Ronin added, receiving displeased looks from basically everyone. "What? No reward?"

"Hey, you'd do the same for us. Only with less pizzazz." Dareth said, sounding like he was joking, but everyone knew he wasn't. Very Dareth of him.

"Uh, I hate to break up the reunion, but may I remind you we're in a hurry?" Jay cut off all the chatter, as Misako nodded.

"That's right. Jay has his last wish to take the Djinn down."

"But since we don't have the poison, it'll be up to us to slow him down. Come on, there's no time to waste." Kai stated, and charged towards the temple. Most followed after him, but Lloyd stopped them with a yell.

"Wait!" Kai skidded to a stop. "If you defeat Nadakhan, his power will diminish!"

"Uh, yeah, that's kind of the point." Cole squinted, not getting what Lloyd's point was.

"Of course!" Wu let out in realization. "Lloyd is all too right. If his power diminishes, Djinjago will fall. Ninjago will be crushed."

"Even if we win, we lose?!" Kai questioned with a scoff.

"Well, whatever you decide, I sure don't want an all-powerful Djinn calling the shots." Captain Soto exclaimed. "You have to take him out if you have the chance." It was their only option.

 "Ninja, you go stop Nadakhan." Wu said. "The rest of us will return back to Ninjago to prepare for the worst."

No one objected to that, and the ninja charged off towards the temple. "Ninja, go!" 

The brown ninja tried to follow, but Ronin grabbed him by the back of his collar and pulled him back. "Ah-ha, not you, Dareth."

Dareth understood and didn't complain. "The Brown Ninja will live to fight another day."

Ronin let him go and turned towards the opposite direction from where "This way. We'll take the jet down."

The doors shut were shut right after she entered. Nya looked around, everyone was looking at her. She nervously took a step forward.

"Come on, Jay. Where are you?" She whispered under her breath, then raised a fake smile onto her face.

"She's beautiful." Dogshank admired her, but Nya only felt flattered because she had said it.

Flintlocke, who was sitting next to Dogshank didn't comment on Nya appearance, instead... "And slower than molasses dripping uphill."

It was true though. Nya took slow and short steps, spending as much time as she could on stalling. When she was arriving at the altar, she pretended to stumble, fixing a high heel that had never even been out of place. Then she finally stepped onto the altar.

Nadakhan's brows had an unwilling furrow, but he still smiled. until Clancee started reading the vows.

"I h-h-hereby d-d-declare from here until e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-eternity, that this holy temple in which you are married, shall stand the test of time..." Clancee's stuttering really got on Nadakhan's nerves, Nya meanwhile was glad.
