Pause and Effect

So I was a bit lost with what to do here, because I had a three phase plan of which I had only come up with a beginning and an end. So, the middle was... well, non-existent.

(y/n), Kai and Nya found the team inside a hidden sewage system under the museum, inside a hidden room. Double secret, wow.

(y/n) worried, because someone (very obviously Cole) had broken through the wall. Kai and Nya convinced (y/n) that the black ninja was fine, at least he had been during Nya's call with Lloyd.

(y/n) however tensed when he heard a scream (again, very much obviously Cole's) echoing through the sewers. He ran ahead, the siblings not able to catch up until (y/n) found the rest of the ninja.

And Cole. Who was freaking out over a slug on his shoulder. Jay cackled until (y/n) walked up and swiped the slug off of Cole's gi. The Earth ninja first sighed in relief, then turned around with a grin once he realized who had 'saved him'.

"You guys found us." Zane said, turning to talk to the siblings while (y/n) lectured Cole about giving him a heart attack with his screaming.

Nya nodded, smiling and hiding well any trace of conversation about her and Kai's father. "What did we miss?"

"Lloyd laying out the plan of attack." Zane said.

Lloyd nodded along. "Yeah, as I was saying, Zane will use his sensors to locate Cyrus Borg while Jay and Cole rescue the workers from the warehouse. (y/n) and I'll get Master Wu, who's probably in the holding cell. Kai and Nya, you have the toughest job: locating Krux and Acronix. So you take the map."

He handed the map to Nya, Kai however snatched it to himself right after. Nya pretended not to mind. "We can do that. Right, Kai?"

"Barracks, holding cell..." The red ninja muttered. Nya cleared her throat. "Ahem... Kai?"

But he still didn't notice. "That's the mess hall and... what's this-"'

"Kai!" Nya let out, elbowing her brother harshly.

"What? Yeah, yeah, we got it." Kai finally said, lowering the map. "Let's go."

The others looked at him skeptically, but when Jay snorted, the others ended up laughing as well. Kai was still acting weird, but he was now so obvious about it that it was funny.

The team walked through the tunnels to the place the others, not Nya, Kai and (y/n), had found. But now that they saw it, their jaws were on the floor.

Endless swamp that seemed to continue for miles. There were even trees and hills, which, quite frankly, didn't look like they belonged to a place they could reach from a secret underground tunnel.

"Remember, stealth is key." Lloyd reminded them, mainly Kai, probably. "Everyone knows what they're doing?"

"On it."
"Yes, I do."
"Yep."
"Yup."
"Affirmative."
"Oh, yeah. I know exactly what I'm doing." Everyone answered smoothly. Though Kai's answer was a little different. Only Nya gave him a doubtful look this time.

"Good luck." Lloyd said,"No pressure, but all of is depending on us."

"Your numbers are great, but they won't be enough," Wu said, steady and moving precisely, like he used to do. He cut down the last of many vermillion Warriors. "The Time Punch has reversed. My strength has returned. I will save Ninjago."

Wu sighed, though he was confident, he was worn out. But suddenly a helmet peeked out from the swamp water. Wu brandished his staff, but then froze. Who rose out wasn't a Vermillion but Misako.
