Big Trouble, Little Ninjago

This chapter is very short, that's why I'm uploading this so soon it's not long enough to wait any longer for. Anyway, this here is chapter ninety-nine, in case you were wondering. This one is a bit short, so I'll upload it either right after the prior, or right before the following one. We'll see.

The fight between Lloyd and Garmadon had been broadcast to the entire world. The team had seen it too, and played it back when Kai and (y/n) reached the Bounty, that actually managed to finally change course and caught them a bit past where Nya's bike laid with it's front tire flat.

Kai and (y/n) watched the recording silently, before (y/n) ultimately pleaded for it to be turned off near the end of it. Kai hesitated, but shut the thing. The others meanwhile tried to wake Lloyd up, but he wouldn't open his eyes, just groan in pain.

Nya had resorted to calling Misako. "Misako."

"Nya! Is my son okay?" The voice on the other sound, sounding super worried, asked.

"We got him." Nya could hear the older woman sigh in relief on the other side of the line. "But he's in really bad shape. We're headed your way but..."

Nya took a deep breath, holding herself together. "But we don't know what to do. It's like... it's like his life force is fading."

There was a moment of silence and some shuffling on the other side, before Misako said, "I know where to take him."

Apparently, from Misako's words, Wu had been drawing the shape of the tea cup above Mystake's tea shop, over and over again for a while now. Nobody doubted the little kid was mysterious, as he had been when he was an old man, and trusted her.

But moment by moment, Lloyd's cries were getting worse. He was even sounding out words now. "I c- There's... He's too-He's too much. I can't- Please!"

"He's burning up." Jay noted, wiping Lloyd's forehead with a wet rag Mystake had provided them. The others stood around Lloyd was, placed to lay on a table at the front of the store.

"You cannot hurry tea. Only have patience to get it right." Mystake called from the back room, but came out right after anyway. "It is ready."

"Is it going to make him better?" Cole asked as Mystake brough over the cup of tea.

"It will heal his wounds, but..." Mystake hesitated. Not a good sign.

"But what?" Nya asked, perhaps a little harsher than she'd meant.

kai meanwhile groaned, fists clenched tightly. He still had the picture of Lloyd and his father on him, hidden inside his pocket. "There's always a 'but.'"

"It comes with a price." Mystake continued.

"Whatever it is, we will pay it." Zane told her, somehow more serious than usual.

"I will take no coin for this. I speak of a price for you and your friend." Mystake, who'd been eyeing Lloyd so far, turned to the ninja. "Each of you must lay your hand upon him. The tea will focus your Elemental Powers to save him. But it may use up all the power you have left."

"Are you telling me to save him, we could lose our power?" Jay confirmed, sounding unsure.

"Perhaps. Perhaps not." Mystake shrugged.

(y/n)'s hand was already on Lloyd's arm, so Nya spoke for him when she told Mystake, "Do it."

"Wait! You don't just jump into decisions like this. I mean-"

"You're just worried about yourself now?" Cole, looked angry despite pretending to be calm. "What happened to the Kai from yesterday?"

"I don't want to abandon Lloyd either. But you saw how powerful Lord Garmadon was. Without our Elemental Powers, what chance do we have?" Kai had a point, but with a look at Mystake, it was clear this was the only choice.
