After three years of rewatching the early season over and over, this episode hit different. This season just has writing that make me emotional. Also because I love the flashbacks to Wu they are great the writers did great this season is great and I will greatly combust each time I watch it. Also I wrote this one in two days. I know, I was feeling very productive.
Lloyd, dashing through Princess Harumi's ransacked room, saw from the balcony a stranger in a green hoodie carrying a heavy looking bag over their shoulder.
"He's got the princess! I'm going after him. Guys? Lost connection, great." Lloyd had no time to be frustrated, he had to go after the princess-napper right away.
Lloyd jumped off the balcony, sneaking for the rooftops, trying to remain unseen. The figure in green turned to him for a moment, and Lloyd ducked away, barely avoiding getting seen.
After a second, he head again after the kidnapper, but lost him for a second, before spotting him climbing up rooftops with some effort.
He dashed after the strange person, but then stopped as he nearly plunged himself off the roof, realizing there was an entire block between him and the kidnapper.
"You have gotta be kidding me." The Green Ninja sighed, but took a step back and lunged down anyway. He grabbed a clothesline and swung himself from it to the next, and from there to an emergency ladder in the side of a building.
But just as he got a good grip of it, the metal, which upon close inspection was old and rusty, bent away from the building with a loud screek.
Lloyd yelped and the few civilians down below nearly jumped out of their skins is surprise. Lloyd didn't have time to say anything when the metal bent eve more, before snapping in half.
Just as he was about to fall, a hand caught onto his, and pulled him up to the rooftop. Lloyd exhaled in relief only to recognize the green hoodie the person wore and jump away, fists raised in a pose ready to fight.
"Who are you?" He asked sharply, seeing as the rather small silhouette retreated a step. The thief had set the back aside right next to themself. They hesitated, but lifted their hood, and out came a head of white hair secured in a bun with twin hair sticks.
Lloyd froze upon seeing the princess, not wearing her prior heavy makeup. Lloyd though noted the princesses lips were just as blood red as in the heavy makeup.
"Oh... Princess?" Lloyd scrambled for words as he hastily removed his own ninja hood. "I thought you were kidnapped. I was trying to save you."
Princess Harumi smiled and leaned forward, her hands folded behind her back. "Was that what that was? From my vantage, it looked like I was the one saving you."
Lloyd flushed and looked away, before swiftly switching the topic. "Then who's in the bag?"
Harumi chuckled. "You mean what's in the bag?"
She opened the top of the bag and showed Lloyd piles and piles of fruit and vegetables and bread, anything you might think of, actually. "Food. For the less fortunate. Even though I'm confined to the palace, I still try to give what I can."
"But your bedroom, it was ransacked!" Lloyd pointed out.
"Yes, I can be quite a slob." The Princess rolled her eyes, speaking in a lightly sarcastic tone. "Thank you for noticing."
Lloyd's mouth opened a full five second before he got another word out of it. "I'm sorry. I-I didn't mean-"
"The Princess is gone! Find her!" A sudden booming voice yelled from the direction of the castle. It was Hutchins, and he was mad. Lloyd regretted informing the others, if they had even heard his first message to begin with.
