THIS IS THE 100TH CHAPTER OF THIS STORY. AMAZING. Since it's such a massive milestone, I've been working on something extra to throw out for Set in Stone fans behind the scenes. Dropping on Saturday... actually, that info's at the end of the chapter.
And another thing, I'm so glad we've made it this far. Genuinely, I have 595 followers as of me checking as I write this, and that's fricking huge. This book, just this, also has over 8K votes! Don't even get me started on the attention in all my other books, so many of you leave comments and make my day in the discord server as well with head-canons and other thoughts. And the pile of fanart I've received is still going, which is insane. I never thought I'd ever receive a single one, but after the first (remember that one? It's back at the start of Extra #10, if you need a refresher) I've received so many jaw-dropping gorgeous works that I can't believe my works inspired them :3
After writing this book here for four years now, I'd like to thank you all, so much. Thanks to everyone for reading and being so kind and wonderful, I hope you'll enjoy reading in the future too!!
After fixing up Jay's knee with the cloth left over from (y/n)'s ripped pant sleeve, the team got to work. They needed to get back to Ninjago somehow, but the first step to that was contacting someone in said realm.
So the team scavenged through parts of the broken Bounty, as well as other scraps nearby, building a little something to fix up a radio that was now as broken as the rest of the Bounty.
"Foil!" Kai suddenly let out, "I found foil! Ah! Yes! We have foil!" The red ninja came running to the others, waving the little piece of crumbled up foil in his hand.
The red ninja all rushed to Zane, who corrected the position of a makeshift antenna they had made as Kai placed the foil in place."Okay. Let's see if it works."
"Say we're lucky enough to reach someone in Ninjago. After everything that's happened, is there even a home to go back to?" Cole, not very optimistic, asked.
(y/n) nudged him lightly, and Cole wrapped an arm around him as a weak apology. But what could he say? They had been trying for hours, losing faith didn't seem like an impossible thing now.
"One way to find out. Here goes nothing." Kai shrugged, flicking a switch as the radio set-up came to life.
But when much of nothing happened, Zane shook his head. "And that sounds like nothing."
"Urghh!!" Kai groaned loudly in frustration. "We're never getting home!"
Jay, who had a surprisingly calm expression on his face, watched as Kai started pacing around. "So it doesn't work. I'm telling you guys, I've been feeling so much better now that I've accepted our situation. This is our new home."
"You don't sound like yourself, Jay." Cole pointed out.
"Usually, you would be the one most frustrated." (y/n) added, looking between Kai and Jay who had nearly switched places.
Jay shrugged. Seriously, he shrugged. "I'm just saying you don't have to freak out about it. It could be worse."
"Worse? Worse!?" Kai whipped around, facing Jay with a pissed face. "A strange tea lady-"
"Mystake." (y/n) jumped in with a warning tone.
"Mystake," Kai corrected his words, "She just marooned us in the Realm of Oni and Dragon. A realm, mind you, we know nothing about, with no hope of getting home, and no clue as to what else is out there!!!"
Jay rolled his eyes. "Uh, Oni and dragons, duh?" Kai groaned again, ready to rip out his as well as Jay's hair.
"Sure, Jay. We've all seen dragons." Cole joined in to calm the situation. "But aren't you the least bit concerned about coming across an Oni? I mean, we hardly know anything about them."
