I caught the flu, yay... That aside, my schedule is going to become lighter starting in about a week, so I'll probably start writing more???? Question marks because I can't promise anything. NOW, let's start with the chapter.

Though Jay had really not wanted to, he had let the ninja know of his hideout- I mean, Cliff Gordon's mansion.

"Ahem," Jay cleared his throat as he pushed the front doors open. "Welcome to my humble abode."

"Huh,"
"Whoa."
"Awesome!" Were some of the reactions Jay got. After giving him a wink, Nya acted like it was her first time there too. It made Jay smile before he led the team to the living room.

"Fear isn't a word where I come from!" The Fritz Donnegan statue. Lloyd's inner Star Farer fan was definitely jealous, but couldn't say it. Even Cole was looking at all the trophies on the shelf with an impressed look on his face.

"So how did you come across this place again?" Lloyd asked as Jay fumbled to come up with literally anything but the truth.

"I uh... uh- I saved up. Yeah, that's it. Uh, I saved up every little bit and now ta-da, here's my secret hideout. Hah! Of course it can be our secret hideout." As everyone was inspecting the room, the Fritz Donnegan statue's mouth moved again.

"Fear isn't a word where I-" Jay elbowed it a few times before the statue shut up completely.

No one seemed to have found it strange. (y/n)'s face was strange though. Strangely... mad.

"How nice of you to save up for this," (y/n) motioned all around them, so basically the whole house. "But you really couldn't spare a single coin for us?"

(y/n) showed a smile as sharp as a dagger, and Jay felt a bead of sweat rolling down his forehead. He was definitely mad.

"First we lost Wu, then Misako. Now Kai. I don't know about you, but I'm starting to see a pattern." Lloyd meanwhile cut to the chase, and quickly everyone's attention was back on the more important topic.

"Whenever one of us finds ourselves alone, we disappear." Zane stated the facts as Nya joined in.

"Then we just stick together from here on out." She clasped her hands together, then walked to a low table near the center of the room. "We need to take a look at that lantern. Jay, hit the lights."

Jay tensed, then started looking around the room. "Lights. Lights. Where would they be... Ah, found them! Ha-ah. Sorry, big house." Jay said and clicked the button he had found, but it did nothing.

"Uhhh," He pressed another button, then another, and finally the wide windows were covered, and almost all the light inside the room was snuffed out. "Haha." jay laughed nervously, but everyone only gave him a confused glance.

Zane got a lit match from Lloyd, and carefully he lit the candle inside the lantern and shook the match out. Then he held the lantern above the table, and the light of the fire cast a large map onto the table.

"Wow..." Nya couldn't help but let out, then continued, "So this is supposed to point the way to the only thing that can stop Nadakhan?"

"Not stop, slow." Lloyd corrected her. "Remember, a drop of venom from a Tiger Widow can kill a normal person, but slow a Djinn down before he can disappear on us. If we need to trap him, we'll need this venom, so let's figure out a plan."

Zane, Nya and (y/n) gave Lloyd a firm nod while Jay watched from further away. But just as he was going to join them, Cole walked up to him.

He spoke in a whisper, "You saved up for this place? Baloney. Whenever money comes your way, you waste it on junk food and video games. What's really up? And don't think you can lie to me. I know you too well."
