Currently sick. :(

"But you were not there, young ninja. I was, your parents were, and Wu. He told you a lie. Your parents were not who you think they are. They didn't fight against us. They fought with us." Krux spat out, grabbing a decorative spear from the wall.

"What? It can't be. They were heroes!" Kai circled him with slow steps, sword raised.

"True, they were heroes. But heroes for our side."

"I don't believe you. Master Wu wouldn't lie about that!" Kai shook his head.

"Wouldn't he?" Krux cracked a mean smile. "Your parents were traitors!

Kai shook his head vigorously before shouting, "No!!"

"Oh, Kai, you've let your emotions get the best of you." Krux almost cooed. "I would know, happened to me many times. I've been betrayed as well!!"

With a shout, her threw the spear in Kai's direction, but it wasn't aimed at him. Kai barely even had to sidestep, and the spear flew past him, embedding itself in the painting of the battle against the Time Twins, specifically through the head of the white haired man in the foreground of the painting.

"(y/n)'s father?" Kai muttered out, looking between the painting and Krux.

Krux heaved, then laughed. "The truth hurts. It always does. Doesn't it, Kai?"

Kai glared, then gripped his sword tighter. "Not as much as this will!" Then he charged at Krux.

:D

Lloyd was still caring for Wu with Misako, apparently their Master's condition had yet to get any better. Along with the topic of bedridden Wu, there was Zane, who was awake, but not working.

(y/n) let out a long sigh, he thought about adding Kai to that list as well. While Cole and Jay were training, (y/n)'s sparring partner of the day had gone to take a break in the library, and was now totally ensnared by all the knowledge around him.

Who am I kidding? Kai would never read over training. This was really something different. When Kai hadn't returned from his 'break' after ten minutes, (y/n) went to look for him, and ultimately found him here.

Digging through all he could to find some sort of answer, he even went through the collection of (y/n)'s scrolls stored in the corner of the room.

"That's a memoir of my dad Wu wrote." (y/n) finally announced his presence as Kai dropped the scroll he was holding in surprise. "You won't find anything from that."

"Sorry, I don't feel like sparring right now." Kai said, picking up the scroll and putting it back in it's place.

"I hope you know you shouldn't bear this problem alone, Kai." (y/n) continued speaking. Kai gave him a questioning look as if saying 'and you wouldn't?' "I want to help. What's bothering you? Something to do with the twins, I assume."

Kai contemplated something for a moment, before answering. "Remember back when we fought against Chen and his cultist army? Remember what I asked you then?"

"You thought your dad might have been on Chen's side... Krux is trying to play mind games with you, just like Chen did!" (y/n) realized as Kai grimaced.

"Yeah, but I know they're all lies. But there's something else too." Kai sat down in front of a box left over from moving their stuff to the temple, (y/n) sat on the opposite side, making it seem like they were sitting at a table.

"I just have this gut feeling. A feeling that is screaming, making me think of my parents. I think they might be alive." (y/n) frowned with worry at his words. "But Krux's words keep distracting me."
