Secrets Discovered

"This fight is as far from over. I know we had a setback, but now-" Lloyd had hauled the entire team inside with the help of Cole, Zane and Nya, who dragged both (y/n) and Kai there with a mighty load of trouble. Unfortunately for him, those two were not listening to him.

He got cut off by Kai, who rolled his eyes before Lloyd could even properly start explaining, "It's always darkest before the dawn. Blah, blah, blah. Come on, let's get going already, okay?"

"Kai," Nya tried to get in a word, but (y/n)'s finger was suddenly cutting the air in front of her sharply.

"No, we need to go, now." He huffed. "Time's running out here, I cannot believe you guys! For once

"We don't need a pep talk,"
"We need action!" They finished each others' sentence.

Nya deadpanned. "At least you two agree on something."

(y/n) and Kai glanced  at each other, glared, and turned away with a shared scoff. They were playing mute, but occasionally broke their silence for something like this.

"He's chasing a dream!" (y/n) threw his hands in the air, turned on his heel and walked to the other side of the room, sitting down on a stool set by a table. Laid out on it were maps, maps and more maps of Ninjago. He was studying and scribbling over them intensely, trying to figure out where the Time Twins could have gone.

Kai scoffed, crossing his arms. "Says the guy who blew up yesterday," Kai murmured, walking the opposite way and leaning against the wall, grabbing the Vermillion Warrior helmet he still had for some reason from a shelf. The moment his eyes saw the inside, he was spacing out as usual.

"I agree, we need to act soon." Lloyd finally got the chance to continue. "But they actually gave us a break to plan by taking the Time Blade."

"How is that a break?" Cole lifted an eyebrow, listening but eyeing (y/n) and Kai, just like how Nya was doing. 

"If any of you captured something that powerful, what would you do?" Lloyd continued as Jay raised a hand like they were in class.

"Um, immediately haul it back home to show off to you guys?" Jay grinned questioningly. He was both very serious and trying to lighten the mood. Neither (y/n) or Kai reacted.

"Right!" Lloyd said, Jay was rather surprised he was right. "And unless I miss my guess, that's exactly where the Hands of Time are headed as we speak. Their home."

"So if we can find the Time Blade..." Cole started, slowly following Lloyd's logic.

"...We can find Acronix and Krux's base." Zane concluded.

"You sure you can't locate the Blade with your temporal scanner?" Nya questioned Zane, just in case.

"I am afraid it was damaged when we fought the Vermillion warriors." Zane explained, but glanced at Jay, who was laughing at something he said. "I fail to see the humor, Jay."

Jay contained himself after one last snicker. "I still think Vermillion warriors is a stupid name."

Then Nya returned to the prior topic, giving Jay's shoulder a pat but not playing along this time, "I could see if the scanner on Destiny's Bounty still works."

"Yes. Good thinking, Nya." Lloyd commented just as two other voices spoke up.

"I'll come with you,"
"I'll help you, sis." (y/n) and Kai once again stood up at the same time, and stared at each other intently. Lloyd let out a deep sigh.

"Okay, no take backs, you're both coming." Nya quickly said. "And the rest of you should go to the museum. Krux hid in plain sight there as Dr. Saunders for years. I'll bet there's a clue where their secret headquarters is."
