*Shay's POV*

"Why are you dragging me along? I'm not interested in this so called 'get together'" I grumbled "I'm not even friends with anyone there"

"They're fellow classmates, also Kaius, Talia and Ambrose are going, they're friends of ours" Daehyun locked arms with me, as if I were about to run off.

"Eh more like your friends" I mumbled under my breath. "Whatcha say?" He was in a chipper mood. "Nothing" I sighed.

I didn't have a great feeling about tonight, I'm not great with gathering, then dealing with drunk people— not to mention I've been having a fairly decent day, I'm sure I'll encounter some annoying weirdos. I just hope it's after the gathering, I wouldn't want to be the cause of everyone's fun stopping.

I played with my fingers anxiously. "Hey relax, tonight will go smoothly, I'll be your luck to your unluckiness" Daehyun smiled brightly.

"Oh sure" I stated jokingly. I shouldn't worry about anything happening, I need to let loose and relax.

"Hey, hey you two!" Kenji came up behind us, he place his arms around our shoulders, "ready to drink like there's no tomorrow?" He laughed.

I moved his arm, and released Daehyuns arm. "Don't drink too much no ones gonna to take care of your tall ass" Daehyun joked.

It must've been just me, but Daehyun seemed close with Kenji. I knew they were in the same class and group project, but they seemed to have some spark to their growing friendship.

I didn't know much about the guy. I've only ever seen him while walking to class.

I slightly frowned as I glanced at Kenji. Not sure why, but I already didn't like him.

"Cmon, I'm sure everyone's waiting" Kenji chuckled as he guided Daehyun into the restaurant. I followed behind.

There were two large tables reserved for everyone coming tonight. I was confused to why so many people decided to come. This wasn't even a club dinner or a department dinner, nor a mixer. Everyone came from different departments, which confused me. Were people coming out because some idiots went around inviting every person they came across.

Whatever. It didn't matter. I just hate people.

"Heyyy!" Noisy greetings came our way as we walked towards the tables. I planned to drink light and keep to myself.

"Where do you wanna sit?" I asked Daehyun. "Mmm over there is fine" He made his way to a few open seats. Kenji went his own direction for seating.

I raised a brow of suspicion. Kaius was seat diagonally from us, next to him was Talia. I smiled as I nudged Daehyun "looks like Ambrose knew the perfect girl, I've been seeing them together everywhere lately"

"She's alright" Daehyun took a seat. He glanced towards them before starting small talk with the guy next to him.

Huh? He should be happy, but he didn't look like it. I kept my eyes on him. It was clear he was watching them.

"Want something to drink?" Alexander, who was seated across from me asked. "Uh I'm not much of a drinker" I shook my head. "Oh Cmon have a little somethin' somethin'" Daehyun poured himself a drink. He didn't go lightly, he poured till it reached the top.

"Just a little" I sighed. I watched as Alexander poured me a glass. "I'm Alexander, I don't think we've met before" he spoke softly. "We haven't." I simply said.

I had no interest in talking to anyone. "What's your name?" Alexander asked before sipping his drink. I slightly frowned "Shay" I twisted my drink in my hand. I felt reluctant to drink it, there was no particular reason to why. I just didn't want it.
