Jungkook feels betrayed.

He feels betrayed by God. By universe. By everything he basically had faith in.

Sitting on the floor of the hospital, he feels numb. How did this happen?

Just a while ago, he was at the company with his members, recording their upcoming single. That's when his phone started blowing up. His parents were calling him nonstop. He didn't answer the call immediately though but when his mother called Namjoon and asked him about Jungkook, dread filled his heart. His parents never contacted other members just to get a hold of Jungkook unless it was an emergency.

So when Namjoon gave his phone to Jungkook and his mother told him how Jimin and Taehyung got into an accident, he didn't even wait for a second. He asked which hospital they were at and abandoned everything, running out of the office to get to the hospital as soon as possible.

During the entire ride, he felt like he'd get an anxiety attack. His mother had told him that the doctors were checking up on the two so she didn't have anything concrete to tell him. Jungkook let his bodyguard drive because he was in no state to drive himself.

After reaching the hospital, he got to know that Jimin's injuries weren't that severe. His treatment wasn't anything complicated. He'd be okay in a while. But the doctor did warn them about the mental trauma he might go through and suggested them to make Jimin see a therapist.

After another few minutes of nervously pacing in the waiting area of the hospital, the doctor checking on Taehyung had appeared. Jungkook and his parents had rushed to her to ask her about Taehyung's condition.

"He has a concussion and broken rib. It's nothing he can't recover from but..." The doctor's voice trailed off, immediately ringing the alarms in Jungkook's head.

"But? But what, doctor? H-He's going to be okay, right? What about--- what about the b-baby?" Jungkook asked, sounding very panicked.

The doctor had a sad smile on her lips and with regretful eyes, she shook her head, "I'm sorry, Jungkook-ssi. I had told him multiple times how difficult male pregnancy is. There are a lot more risks than a female one. Literally anything can happen. I'm not saying it's Taehyung-ssi's fault because he did his absolute best all this while I knew him but this accident--- it made him have a miscarriage."

Jungkook had fallen right on his knees. He knew his life was getting more fucked up as each second passed by. But never in his wildest dreams did he think something like this would happen.

He lost his baby.

The little life which was blooming inside his husband as a mark of their love--- it's gone now.

He doesn't believe this. Taehyung and Jungkook had their differences about certain matters but both of them have--- had--- the same love for their baby that they made together.

Amidst their chaotic life, the baby was their only source of happiness and comfort. It brought them warmth and peace. It gave them a reason to fight for their happiness and resolve their issues. It became their strength.

And now, the baby is gone.

Jungkook doesn't react. He doesn't know how to.

He just keeps sitting on his knees in the middle of the waiting room which was fortunately only occupied by his family members as it was in the VIP area.
