Erik's POV
I was sat in a bar, drinking a beer when I saw him. A man in a wheelchair rolled onto the karaoke stage.
Charles.
The man I had left because of some we had different views on how the lives of mutants should be lived. I turned my back on the man I love - and for what. Nothing had happened to help the lives of mutants since.
I wish I could take it all back and tell Charles that I love him.
"Hello, I'm Charles Xavier and this song is about the time the man I loved left me on a beach, paralysed." Charles said, his British accent coming through thick.
Why did I leave him paralysed. This is my fault. I'm so stupid.
With that, Charles began to sing "I let it fall, my heart

I had no idea he could sing so well.

Wow.

This is devastatingly accurate. I wish I didn't do what I did, I love him. I love him so much it hurts.

I broke his heart. And now his singing is breaking mine.

Me and him together, that's what it should have been. I should never have left.

The pain and anguish in his voice is killing me. Why oh why did I leave him.

A tear rolled down my cheek as he sang. He has the most beautiful voice.

I had to speak to him. I need to tell him how I feel - before it's too late. Even though it probably is too late.

Charles' voice was cracking however he still continued to sing.

Tears rolled down my cheeks. I was such an idiot. I can't believe I actually left the man I love.
After a round of applause, Charles wheeled himself off the stage.
I stood up. It was now or never.
I walked in the direction that Charles had gone. I saw that there was a door that was open, it was raining outside.
I saw a figure in the darkness. As I got closer, I saw that it was Charles. What I was not ready to see was him bawling his eyes out.
I managed to catch a few phrases that went along the lines of "I loved him and now he's gone" , "why did he leave me?" and "why did I never tell him how I felt".
He loved me?
I walked over to him and stated "well you could always tell me now."
Charles gasped, "Erik!?"
That broke me.
I began to sob, "I'm so sorry Charles. I should never have left you. I I I-"
I was cut off by Charles grabbing my hand.
"Hey calm down Erik, it's ok." He whispered.
I sank to my knees, still sobbing.
"Erik calm down, take a few deep breaths." Charles whispered.
I did what he told me to then whispered, "tell me Charles. Tell me how you feel about me."
Charles looked down at me, then through his tears, he smiled at me "I'm in love with you Eric."
I looked up at him then knelt up. I lent over and kissed him, carefully and sweetly on the lips.
"I'm in love with you too Charles." I whispered, kissing him again.
