An aggregate is a gem that
is composed of of other gems. The main focus of many people is that she is a "closet-fusion" but the fusion of her and Lapis show that she only has one gem. My theory is that during the war many gems were destroyed into fragments the fragments were liquified and inserted into the top of the drill in the picture. The drill then made a hole and injected the serum into the hole. The heat and pressure over time made a gem composed of bad gems making it even more malicious.Amethyst was created this way but was in the hole too long and the serum combined into one pure form and became Amethyst. This would explain Jasper's resistance towards fusions because she is technically a fusion of gems and is ashamed of that fact.This corresponds with actual jasper that is an aggregate of many different colors.
