The temple fusion has two pairs of eyes because someone inside the fusion is keeping the harmony between all of the gems. Sugilite is Ruby, Sapphire, and Amethyst. She has five eyes. Sardonyx is Ruby, Sapphire, and Pearl. She has four eyes. The temple fusion is at least a five gem fusion(I think it's actually six) yet it only had four eyes. Actual Rose quartz has the ability to balance all chakras into harmony. Rose in "we need to talk" would have balanced out Rainbow Quartz if she was Rose Quartz at that time. Rainbow Quartz would only have one set of eyes and it wouldn't have mattered why they fused if Rose was Rose Quartz. Rose Quartz is in the temple fusion but not in "we need to talk." In "we need to talk" Rose is Rose Diamond.
