Why did Jasper treat her so badly? All she did was come home. Jasper yanked her around a locked her in a holding cell. Lapis doesn't like the crystal gems so that can't be the reason. What if it's because of her being a metal?
I also think that a metals symbol is a circle instead of a diamond. In the picture the desert glass uses circles in its tower. Lapis uses circles in her mirror and her signal is a circle while Peridot's is a diamond. Onion's tapestry has a mix of diamonds and circles showing he is a mix of Metals and Gems.
Like Steven being half human this make Onion half metal(mother) half gem(father). This means that Onion is closer to Steven then we thought. This might also show why Onion looks up to Steven so much.
