The diamond hierarchy is a theory I came up with and it explains the positions in the Diamond Authority.
Yellow diamond is basically the figure head like the political leader.
White diamond handled the combat part of the society. She was over conquering civilizations that opposed the home-world.
Blue diamond tortured captured soldiers and leaders. She is the most cruel gem in the authority hence the blue color representing cold and sadness.
Pink Diamond known as Rose Quartz is the tactical and strategic leader. Every group of rulers needs a person with a caring personality. This is supported by the fact that it is difficult to see the difference between diamonds and quartz. The statue with 4 faces in "Serious Steven" has three frowns and one smile. I believe the 3 frowns are the diamonds and the 1 smile is Rose. Explaining that when Steven touched the gem that the smiling face turned towards him. Rose must have defeated White diamond and trapped her inside the temple so only she could remove it. Steven has her gem so he could remove White diamond.
