The pufferfish was revealed to be Watermelon Tourmaline. The pufferfish's weapon was its air.
Watermelon Tourmaline contains the metal Aluminum. Aluminum is the strongest air element metaphysically. So this shows the pufferfish was the Air elemental leader for the metals.

Desert Glass I said was Jade. Nephrite Jade to be exact. Jade contains titanium.
Titanium is the strongest Earth Element metaphysically. Jade(Desert Glass) can control Sand. This shows that the earth elemental leader for the metals was Jade(Desert Glass).

Lapis Lazuli and Malachite both contain Copper and they can control water.
Copper is the strongest water element metaphysically. This shows that Lapis was a water elemental leader for the metals at one time.
