The eight pointed star symbolizes the elements of air, water, earth, and fire. They form the element of spirit when they are all combined.
In serious Steven the "diamonds" look nothing like the yellow diamond that we've seen or the yellow diamond statue in the sky arena. I think these are metals.
The one on the left is air. The lines coming down is her air pushing down on the people/gems. The one in the middle is earth. The rocks flying around her supports that. The one on the left is fire. Supported by the sun.
The inverted triangle that they have means the moon while the triangle on Pearl's shirt in the pilot means the sun. Pearl's design was shown in "Steven the sword fighter" so that makes it cannon. The top of the mural you can see a clashing between the sun and moon. Representing a battle between the two. A battle between Gems and Metals.
