Garnet has gauntlets made of garnet.
Pearl has a spear made of pearls.
Amethyst has a whip with amethyst shards.
So shouldn't Steven shield be made of Rose Quartz. Actual Rose Quartz is very fragile so if it was made into a shield it wouldn't be strong enough to hold anything back. Diamonds are the hardest materials on the planet if they were made into a shield it would be almost impossible to break through.
Steven has the Pink Diamond gem not the Rose Quartz gem.
