This shows that the Rose in "Lion 3 straight to video" matches the color of polished Rose Quartz in daylight. I have also noticed that when the gens were still hiding things from Steven they would always say "you have the Rose Quartz gem" but now that they try not to lie they say,"you have Rose's gem or Rose's shield" they never specify which. In "story for Steven"and "we need to talk" they just call her Rose and never say which kind rather it be Quartz or Diamond. All of this evidence together means that the Rose in "we need to talk and story for Steven" is actually Rose Diamond and the one we see in "Lion 3 straight to video" is actually Rose quartz.
