This proves that the star used to be for the diamonds. The top left picture is of the door in
"Story for Steven". Notice the jagged edges. The picture in the top right is of the door now notice the rounded edges. The middle left picture is of Garnet Gauntlets we see in "gem glow" notice the jagged edges and the picture in the middle right is the same gauntlets but they have rounded edges. The bottom left pictures is of Garnet's gauntlets in "story for Steven" notice the jagged edges. The bottom right is the present Garnet's gauntlets notice the rounded edges. This shows that a rounded star is for the crystal gems and a jagged star used to be for the diamonds. It also show that Garnet in "gem glow and etc." is a crystal gem on the outside but a diamond in the inside(sapphire). The present Garnet does not have a star on the inside of her gauntlets because after "jail break" sapphire rejected being a diamond. So there is just a rounded star.
