I heard this theory where some people believe that Ruby has the left gauntlet and Sapphire has the right. I don't think this is true because gems can summon multiple weapons. Pearl has summoned two spears and Amethyst has summoned two whips. This means that Ruby could summon two gauntlets and so could sapphire.
