I think that Pearl does love Rose. The main debate is if the live was mutual or one-sided. I think that because Rose made Pearl (as I said in my last chapter), she sees Pearl as part of her. He loved her as she loves Steven. The reason for my theory is the fact that Rainbow Quartz is the only fusion without pupils. I think it was the situation that they fused. Pearl wanted to fuse to show Greg something that he couldn't do, while Rose wanted to show Greg something amazing. They normally when fused would have pupils but because of Pearl's jealousy the eyes didn't fuse. In my opinion the love was mutual but on different levels Pearl had motherly love while Rose's was daughterly love. Pearl saw Greg as most people would see a step-father. Someone that is stealing my mother from me. This is why Pearl acts jealous towards Greg.
