Despite our admission of our feelings last night, Sebastian and I slept in our separate beds, unsure where to pick up where we left off before the whole incident. The tension hung in the air, creating an electric atmosphere that crackled with unspoken desire.
I was woken up by the sounds of Sebastian boiling water in the small kitchen, his sculpted physique revealed in his pajama pants and bare chest, preparing tea with leaves he had acquired from a local villager who had taken a liking to him and Anne when they lived there.
"Sorry. Didn't mean to wake you." He apologised, turning around with two cups full of piping hot brew.
He placed them on the table and cleared a spot for the supplies he'd brought along which included a map of the area around Hogwarts, something I didn't have.
I dragged myself out of bed, pulling a blanket with me to wrap around myself as if I was maintaining some sort of dignity, not letting him see my nightgown as if he hadn't already seen what was underneath it.
"Thanks for this." I said, taking the piping hot cup in my hands and gently blowing on the liquid.
"My pleasure. Now, I thought we'd grab a copy of the Daily Prophet this morning to see what they're saying, but I believe he's likely staying close to the castle moving around the hamlets. If he wants revenge on you and is looking to get into that repository, he'll have to be stalking the castle waiting for you to leave."
"So, maybe I should have stayed in the castle then?" I asked, now concerned.
"Not necessarily. If we can ambush him, rather than him ambush us I think we'll be alright." He explained. "Now, I wanted to brush up on our duelling skills together. I know you're good and I'm better but we haven't worked together in a while."
I scoffed at his cockiness, knowing I had handed his own ass to him in a duel not once, but twice now.
"We can go and have a go at the dummies in the hamlet... and then there's an Ashwinder camp set up near here, around Irondale. I heard from a villager they are around the outskirts of every hamlet. I say, we take them out. Get a bit of practice in."
"I don't know... storming an entire camp where they will then know where we are..." I said, unsure.
"Surely I am not hearing the Hero of Hogwarts having doubts about her abilities..." He teased, a cocky smile on his face. "We just don't leave anyone to go running back to him."
"Fine. We start with the dummies." I reluctantly agreed.
"Great!" He exclaimed, walking to the other side of the cottage and drawing a curtain.
I sat and enjoyed my tea, listening to the sounds of him ruffling around and finding clothes to wear.
He emerged in a simple green sweater and brown pants with his usual tattered boots. I swear he only owned one pair of shoes...
I suddenly felt very underdressed in his presence so I took my cup to the kitchen and did the same, walking over to the corner and pulling the curtain to fumble through my bag looking for anything suitable. I ended up selecting a pair of tight black pants and quickly realised I had forgotten to pack any sort of shirt in my haste to pack other things, like potions. I settled for my white Hogwarts blouse, realising it was my only option.
"What are you wearing?" He stifled a laugh at my appearance.
"Well, I think I may have forgotten to pack any sort of useful shirt." I replied with a hint of annoyance.
"In that entire enchanted bag of yours you don't have one shirt?" He laughed. "Well, lucky for you I never seem to empty mine. Here."
He rustled through his own bag that seemed to have an enchantment of its own now. He lifted out a large green sweater, a Quidditch sweater to be exact, with a large white S on the front and 'Sallow 7' on the back.
