Sebastian's POV

My hands shook as I stared down at the two lifeless Ashwinders, their blood staining my knuckles and my shirt. The adrenaline coursing through my veins began to ebb, leaving behind a sinking feeling of dread. The severity of the situation hit me like a tidal wave.

"Fuck..." I muttered, staring at my bloodied, broken knuckles.

I had no idea where Lara was. I had no idea where to go. I needed Ominis.

I quickly apparated out of the tent and landed on the outskirts of Hogwarts, sprinting as fast as I could to find Ominis. I ran to everywhere I thought possible, asked everyone I saw if they'd seen a blind man walking around with a blinking red wand. I couldn't find him anywhere.

Sharp. He'd know what to do.

I sprinted to the potions classroom, knowing it was a Sunday and he was probably in there grading work.

"Sharp! SHARP! Let me in!" I pounded on the door.

He eventually opened the door as I bursted in and slammed the door behind me.

"Sebastian? What on Earth..."

"Sir, they've got Lara! Harlow... Ashwinders..." I panted, trying to explain what had happened as I caught my breath.

"Slow down, Sebastian. Look at you! What the hell happened?"

Only then did I notice my shirt was sprayed with blood. Not my blood. The blood of the two Ashwinders I'd bludgeoned to death.

"We've been in Feldcroft and... we got caught in an Ashwinder camp. We had it under control but... Harlow found us. He's got her. He tortured her." I explained, my chest rising and falling quickly.

"You went and confronted Ashwinders? Sebastian, I forbade any of you from doing such things."

"I know, Professor, I know. But I'm asking for help. They've taken her! I was told with this bond that nothing bad would happen!"

Sharp's expression softened, and he placed a hand on my shoulder. "Alright, we will discuss this later. Right now, we need to go to the map chamber. If Lara is still in the Highlands, she should appear on the map."

I nodded and left quickly, not bothering to wait for Sharp. I raced to the map chamber, beating Sharp by a mile, greeting the Keepers myself.

"Sebastian? What brings you here?" Professor Rackham appeared, seemingly shocked to see me standing before him.

"Lara has been kidnapped, by Theophilus Harlow. I need to find where she is." I panted quickly.

"The map below your feet, Sebastian. She may be there. You can see ancient magic spots on it. It's how we located you."

I peered down at the large map below my feet. I knew it was there, but never paid it much attention.

"Manor Cape...?" I muttered to myself, seeing a glowing blue dot in exactly the same place I had been. Was Harlow that fucking stupid?

"Thank you." I quickly said to Rackham, not stopping to wait for a response. As I went to leave the map chamber, Sharp had just got there.

Did I feel bad for rushing ahead when I knew he couldn't go very fast with his leg? Yes. Did I regret it? No.

"Sebastian?"

"Manor Cape. I'm going now. I'll see you there." I said, not waiting for his inevitable scolding. There wasn't time to wait for a plan.
