After Quidditch, a few of my friends had decided we would head into Hogsmeade for the evening and indulge in some butterbeers. I had been so busy with school, Quidditch, being a prefect and Sebastian that I hadn't really had the chance to be down to the village in a long time.
"It will be nice." I told Natty as I changed into something warmer prepared for the night ahead. "Maybe you can swing past the Slytherin common room on the way and get Sebastian and Ominis to come too. I'm going to bring Amit."
Little did she know, that was already my plan...
"Oh, yeah. That's a nice idea. I best be going then."
I left her to carefully select her outfit for Amit and pulled on my cream coloured coat over my white blouse, Gryffindor red vest and black pants.
I headed down to the Slytherin common room and prayed that by now I had worked out which bloody wall the snake would appear on, if it would even let me through.
"Aspiration..."
"Aspiration..."
"Aspiration..."
I whispered the password at every wall in the vicinity and was failing.
"Useless." I grumbled to myself, about to admit defeat and go back and send an owl, hoping Sebastian would turn up before the pub closed.
"What's useless?"
I found myself being spun around on my heels and pulled into a deep, longing kiss.
"Sebastian!" I mumbled through our compressed lips.
"No one is around. Besides, I really don't care who sees." He said, removing his lips from mine but keeping his arms wrapped around me.
"Well, perhaps we can talk about that later and I thought I told you to stop sneaking up on me! I was actually here to invite you down to Hogsmeade for some butterbeers. There's a whole group going. And Ominis too, of course. Poppy would probably kill me if I didn't invite him too."
"I'm not sure I can stomach butterbeers again after the party but, that sounds great. Let's go and fetch Ominis." Sebastian said, releasing me and taking me by the hand and revealing the common room door.
"Am I allowed in?" I said, stopping hesitantly at the door.
"You're a prefect, why not?"
He dragged my reluctant body over the threshold of the open door and I half expected to be jolted with lightning as I entered. I had been here before, for a party, but just walking in on a random night felt strange.
"Omi! Let's go to Hogsmeade." Sebastian called from the top of the stairs to Ominis who was sitting on the lounge using his wand to read a book.
"Now?" he called back, unmoving from his spot.
"Now."
Ominis groaned. He got up as if in slow motion and placed his book down.
"Who else is going?" he called.
"Natty, Amit and Poppy that I know of." I said.
I saw Ominis' posture change as he realised I was standing inside their common room.
"Lara? What are you doing here?"
"Coming to get you. You don't want to upset Poppy, do you?"
I knew how to pull at Ominis' heartstrings. He wouldn't want to think he was disappointing Poppy. I heard Sebastian scoff with a slight twinge of pride at my little manipulation tactic.
