"Professor Weasley, do you have a moment?" I asked, peeking my head through the Transfiguration classroom door less than a week after I had travelled to Feldcroft with Sebastian. It took me that long to get the courage to even ask.
"Certainly, Miss Radley. Please come in." Professor Weasley responded, placing her quill down and clasping her hands together waiting for me to approach her desk. "How can I help?"
"This may be a strange request, but... I'd like to see Professor Fig." I said through my dry mouth, nervous to even suggest the idea.
"I was wondering when you were going to ask that question." she responded, pushing her glasses up her nose with one finger.
I looked at her with a look of confusion sprawled across my face.
"I found it hard to believe you'd never really spoken about him since his memorial in the Great Hall almost two years ago. I know he meant a lot to you. But, I will gladly escort you there this afternoon after last period."
"Thank you, Professor. I have one more question."
She looked up at me over her glasses.
"Am I able to bring Sebastian?"
"Mr. Sallow? Hm, I have noticed you spend an awful lot of time together. And he has caused you trouble, what with getting into fights with other students..."
She was talking about Beardsley and Finch... great, she was going to deny me for sure.
"But, I believe having the support of someone so dear to you will probably be a good thing in this instance. Both of you come and meet here after your classes finish and I will take you there."
"Thank you." I said, leaving her classroom quickly to find Sebastian and tell him the plan.
"Hello, my love." he chirped, pulling me by the sleeve of my robe to sit next to him at the table while he ate his breakfast. He gave me a kiss than lingered a bit more longer than normal.
"Hi. You're a ball of positive energy this morning, aren't you?" I noted as I broke our kiss first.
"I don't know, I'm just feeling good."
"Well, I hate to bring you down, but Professor Weasley has agreed to take us to see Professor Fig this afternoon."
"Oh. That's alright, we always said we were going to do this, so I'm glad you've taken that step." he was still chirpy, planting another kiss on my cheek this time.
Sebastian was notably happier lately. Not that he wasn't generally a pleasant person to be around, but he seemed totally and completely contented. Perhaps Professor Rackham was right and this was the healing needed. I could only hope my fate went the same way.
I met Sebastian just inside the Defence Against the Dark Arts tower after classes so we could walk together to Professor Weasley's classroom.
"Are you ready?" Sebastian asked me gently as we walked. He was trying to be supportive as I was for him with Anne and I appreciated his efforts.
"Yeah, it needs to be done. I need to acknowledge this." I sighed.
Professor Weasley was already outside waiting for us when we arrived.
"Good afternoon Miss Radley, Mr. Sallow. Shall we walk?"
Walk? Was he buried on the grounds?
"Where are we going, Professor?" I asked.
"Just outside the grounds, I am going to apparate us all."
I loathed apparition. Sebastian had passed his apparition exam not long after we returned from London after Christmas but I refused. No matter how many times I did it, I wanted to throw up. Sebastian had once told me it gets better but it never did.
