Evelyn looked out at the town sprawled below her as she crouched on a ledge overlooking Beacon Hills. Somewhere down there was her sister, Allison. Somewhere down there was her family, both the ones she feared, hated, and loved. The man who evoked all three emotions in her was her first stop, Gerard Argent. The man who destroyed her quite beautiful life so long ago. She stood up, brushing the dirt off her knees. She turned and walked to where her bike stood behind her. She swung her leg over, climbed on, kicked up the kickstand, and started the bike. Evelyn rode off, her long blonde hair flapping in the wind behind her.

Evelyn walked up to the small room that held the one person who terrified her—the man who had once been her hero, the person she looked to for guidance but was now her greatest enemy. Evelyn took a deep breath before reaching out and grasping the doorknob; she pushed the door open. "I wondered how long it would take you to come," Gerard said as the door swung open. Evelyn's light blue eyes meeting his brown ones. She quickly looked away.

"I want you to stay away from Allison," Evelyn said. Gerard laughed dryly, lapsing into a coughing fit, black liquid oozing out of his mouth.

"Don't you see what I look like, what I've become?" He asked. "I can't get out of this chair, much less harm your darling sister." Evelyn stepped forward, leaning down and getting in Gerard's face.

"I know you," Gerard," she hissed. "I know what you are; you don't need to move to kill someone; you just need words to whisper into someone's ear if something anything happens to Allison or my father, and I find that you have anything to do with it. I will be back, and then we will do more than just talk," Evelyn said. She turned, walking out of the room.

"I have learned that there is a certain pack in town," Gerard said, "one who is certainly not fond of the Argent family and has a certain interest in you."

"I can deal with Deucalion and his pack," Evelyn whispered before leaving the room. But deep down, she worried, worried that she couldn't deal with all of the enemies that her return to Beacon Hills would bring out worried because even in a wheelchair, Gerard still terrified her.
